She converted but was unable to give up her faith. She still celebrates Ganesh Chaurthi & I read she organized a huge Shivratri function at their farmhouse last year. Sharmila too became Ayesha but her kids are pretty secular IMO. Saif did not force Kareena to convert and I loved that.

Kareena is Christian if I'm not wrong so she doesn't need to convert.

I think people shouldn't change religion if it's not what they truly want.

I think Saif and the like are quite secular because of how they grew up (money, acquaintances...) they got to meet a lot of people which influenced their way to see the world.

Wasn't Soha's marriage problematic for Saif or there mother? I'm not sure but it seemed it wasn't quite easy.

She was in live-in for years. No, it wasn't problematic . Her husband before and now, was holidaying with them, attending Pataudi family charity trusts too. ๐Ÿ˜†

A religion should be a person thing but this entitlement on religion and policing how it is being practiced is pathetic(unless it evades human rights) and completely defeats the purpose of religion.

Earlier you asked if Ganesha, Rama ..etc are Gods ..they are part of Hinduism's mythology..some worship them as Gods but the end all of them are considered as one entity , like mere humans too..thats the crux.

Kareena is Half Christian and Half Hindu.

Even if you convert or not, you are still what you want to be. Name change doesn't matter.

We're veering towards discussing UCC...uniform civil code, which I TOTALLY support. โญ๏ธ

No Kareena is not a Christain... Her maternal grandmother( Babita's mother) was a Christian, so she says they celebrated Christmas too and she was familiar with christainity... But she is a Hindu

I don't think Sharmila objected to Soha's marriage... Actually they were in a live-in relationship for a long time and Sharmila was nagging her to get married

Pataudi family was very liberal even then, I mean Sharmila posed in a Bikini for a magazine and the Nawab was fine with that...

Agree ... In a pain , problem , in sleep u r gonna remember the god u r believing since birth , not the newly adopted one that's too forcibly ( almost, kind of ) just to get married ...so in my personal views none can ever convert ...so this conversion is useless just for the sake of doing it

Then why target only Soha? Her mom is a Hindu and also her husband.

I get what you say but how do these get the right to speak bullshit to anybody?

Just for ur information...Salman and Shahrukh have been issued FATWAS several times...kudos to both of them for not giving up what they believe in...now the loonies are done and don't care any more...Soha is a new entrant so they are after her life now...but will get used to her too and will start looking for a new murga.
