I want to write a short story, eight chapters long, each chapter on one of the bharya, and show how after each of them wed Krishna, they all concentrate on uniting the next one with him.

Imagine how many cheerleaders Lakshmana had. 😉

Srutha, I just had an awesomeee idea for the tulabharam. I think you'll really like it.

Tell me. Did Satyabhama have any friends (besides the bharya) who she was really close to?

That's perfect. ❤️

I don't want Krishna and Bhama communicating directly until the syamantaka mani part, but I like the idea of Dau being a sort of messenger between them.

I also got another idea.

Since we're having Rukmini and Bhama be childhood friends, wouldn't it make sense that the first person Rukmini writes to upon her betrothal to Sishupala is Bhama, and Bhama feels enraged and entreats Rukmini to send Krishna a message. So when she sends the brahmana Sunanda with her letter, she tells him to take it to Satyabhama, who will make sure it gets to Krishna, and Satyabhama conspires with Dau to have the letter be placed in Krishna's hands, and she indirectly sends Krishna a message to help Rukmini and ease her heart.

Here, I want to portray Krishna as a little 'hard to reach' for all his wives. Being natkhat, he evades any direct contact from them until it's time to wed each of them, and thus Dau, Rukmini and Bhama conspire to community with him indirectly.

Instead of direct contact, He and she could meet in places, and He would mischievously smile at her and disappear somewhere 😉
It is said in the Bhagavatham, if you look deeply, that Sishupala also asked for Bhama's hand in marriage. So even as the Rukmini part is happening, Bhama writes to Rukmini and tells her of the same situation (thus the Sita symbolism).
Sishupala was actually in want to wed every wife of Krishna's, except Jambu, after whom he lusted as he saw her after the wedding 🤢

Yeah, and she can describe each meeting to Rukmini, who also envisions herself with Krishna and falls in love with him along the way.

It says that in Bhagavatam? In what occasion did Sishupala see Bhama or the other bharya? Wouldn't he have had to visit Dwaraka?

Bhadra was the last, Lakshmana the sixth :P Mitravinda was seventh and Nagnajiti, fifth. Vishnu Purana and Harivamsa say so :P

Panchali was Bhama's Sakhi 😉

I knooow <3
It does. Sishupala was there at almost all the Swaymavaras, and he visits Mathura to see his 'cousins', when he sees a 15 year old Satyabhama.

I'm going with the Bhagavatam for the names and order. 😉 But it doesn't really matter though, lol.

For the purpose of my idea, Panchali won't work, as this friend will doubt Krishna's love for all the bharya, and Bhama will teach her a lesson with the help of Krishna, Rukmini and Narada. 😉
