tar Plus serial Ishqbaaaz has managed to grab the attention of its viewers with its promising star cast and its interesting story line about the three brothers Shivaay (Nakuul Mehta), Omkara (Leenesh Mattoo) and Rudra (Kunal Jai Singh) who are each others strength and weakness.

Ishqbaaz will soon see entry of a new strong character Annika. Actress Surbhi Chandna (Qubool Hai Fame) will be essaying the role of Anika.

Dadi, who is looking for the right match for her grandsons, is convinced that Anika is the perfect partner for her eldest grandson, Shivaay Singh Oberoi, his takkar ka pyaar. But will love ever blossom where money, power and fight for the throne rule the game?

The eldest son of the Oberoi family, Shivay believes power and money can buy anything in this world. He is proud of his family name and wears his arrogance on his sleeve.

And then comes Annika, an orphan, who is a go-getter and not the kind of girl to tolerate anything wrong. She is effervescent and believes that a surname is not important in life. She doesn't get intimidated by Shivaay's arrogance or mind games and will be seen giving it back to him with her patent desi spunk. While her actions will bring a smile on the faces of all, her innocent thought process will question the feudalistic mindset. Her way of thinking will prompt one to question the obsession that society has with family names and the belief that a son is solely responsible for carrying the family lineage forward.
Will Annika-Shivaay's paths ever cross? Watch Ishqbaaaz' as Shivaay and Anika's story unfolds every day on Star Plus at 10 pm.
