Cast of the Marathi film Sairat is the latest to have shot with Kapil Sharma and his gang on The Kapil Sharma Show
Sairat is the first regional film that will be coming to the sets of the show.
Unlike the stars who come to promote their films before their releases, the cast of the Marathi filmSairat was invited after the film released. The sole reason seems to be the fact that this regional film took the theaters by storm and proved to be a major box office hit, reportedly on par with films like Dhoom 3 and 3 Idiots. This will be the first regional film to have come to The Kapil Sharma Show for promotions.
This Marathi film that is based on the ritual of honour killing stars actors Rinku Rajguru and Akash Thosar. Their stunning performances have won them many accolades, one of them being invited on The Kapil Sharma Show. Rinku and Akash shot this episode with their director Nagraj Manjuleon the sets of the show yesterday.
This can be considered to be a great time for regional cinema which is finally being recognised by all sections of the country. And we can safely say that the popularity of television shows is lending this a helping hand. Viewers are no more restricting themselves to one language and indulging in multi lingual entertainment, causing the welcome crossover between all kinds of media. The last example of this was the Shahrukh Khan's promotion of his film Fan on the Marathi chat show Chala Hawa Yeu Dya.
