Kunj landed in Amritsar after 6 months of being in isolation. Even amongst the huge crowds of the people he interacted with everyday, he still felt lonely. Whilst walking through the airport, memories came flooding back. When Twinkle tried to leave thinking he was in love with Maya, when him and Twinkle spent moments together in the airport when they went to Mumbai and of course when Twinkle stood him up and didn't come to London with him. Kunj drove through the streets of Amritsar reminscing all the memories him and Twinkle had shared in this beautiful place. Going on dates to restaurants, grabbing coffees, going to the gurudwara, and of course their beautiful family home.
His first glance went straight to Twinkle's terrace in the hope that she'd be there, waiting for his return. He then looked at the gate to see a big lock and one lonely watchman sitting outside the house. "Kaka aap kaise hain, yahaan taala kyun laga hai" Kunj asked the watchman. "Kya bataon beta, tumhare jaane ke baad, is ghar aur is parivaar pe kya guzri hai, jabse aap London ke liye nikal gaye, tab se is ghar main koi bhi nahi aaya" Kunj was utterly confused. Had Twinkle and the Taneja's left the house? Had Twinkle left the country? His question was answered by the watchman who revealed to him that Leela had met with an accident. Kunj was in absolute shock and left straight for the hospital.
He walked in to find Leela lying there in a peaceful slumber and in front of the window was a beautiful girl whose hair was tied into a slick ponytail and was on the phone "Arre Raman Mamu, aap pareshaan kyun ho rahe ho, maine Chinky ko bata diya, woh aayegi mummy ka khayaal rakhne do teen din ke liye, aur main aapse seeda Australia main miloongi, yeh contract Taneja family ke liye bohot zaroori hai" Kunj coughed as a way of getting Twinkle's attention whilst Twinkle ended her call with Raman Mamu. She turned and couldn't believe what was in front of her eyes. Kunj walked upto Twinkle slowly. He felt guilty as because of him Leela had left the house that day. He felt angry not forgetting how Twinkle had abandoned him at the airport. He felt happy seeing Twinkle after so long. He put his hand on Twinkle's face which she immediately removed and retorted with a cordial namaste. They tried to make small talk but words were clearly failing them.
They didn't know how to approach or talk to one another after such a long gap with misunderstandings and a lack of communication. Just then, the doctor walked in "Twinkle ji, aapke drip ka time ho gaya hai... Yeh kaun hai?" he said looking towards Kunj "Aaj aapka dost Yuvraj nahi aaya, woh aapke liye woh dawaai sab lekar aaya na, for you at this moment it's very important" Kunj couldn't believe what he had just heard. Was he meant to be angry because the doctor had mentioned Yuvraj coming to meet Twinkle or was he meant to wonder what medicines Twinkle was taking? Twinkle quickly replied "Nahi doctor, yeh bas ja raha tha" Kunj was clearly intrigued and so left and asked the doctor what did he mean with Twinkle? "Woh actually sir, jabse unki maa ka yeh haal hua hai, woh theek se khana nahi kha rahi hai, aur yeh inke liye bohot dangerous hai, bohot baar faint ho gayi hai kamzori ki wajah se" Kunj walked out of the hospital even more worried than when he went in and decided to go and visit Chinky; not only was she Twinkle's best friend but she always advised Kunj on how to handle Twinkle.
Chinky told him everything: how Twinkle tried calling Kunj after her mum had the accident, how she decided that her mother needed her so she'd stay and that it's her responsibility to take care of the business. The thing which broke Kunj's heart the most was when Chinky said "Tum jaante ho Kunj, accident ke baad woh jab bhi ghar aati thi cheezein lene, woh hamesha tumhare ghar jaati thi poochne ke liye agar Kunj aaya hai, she thought that you'd definitely come back for her and would understand why she took those actions" Kunj then asked the next obvious question "Aur... uske aur Yuvi ke beech kuch chal raha hai, I mean doctor ne bola ke aaj Yuvi nahi aaya" Chinky was shocked "tum paagal ho kya? bilkul nahi woh toh jab tum yahaan se chale gaye, Yuvi ne bohot madad ki uski, woh haroz aata hai usko milne aur aunty ki dhek bhaal karne" Kunj realised what a mistake he had made taking off on Twinkle like that and not allowing her a chance to explain so he went straight back to the hospital the next day seeing as it was quite late.
Twinkle was sitting there wearing a pair of denim jeans and an oversized jumper seeing as it was quite cold and Kunj walked in a sexy black shirt. Twinkle walked upto him and starting hitting him on the arm taking out the anger which had been building up inside her "Tumhe kya laga... main aur Yuvi ek item hain, tum chale gaye toh main uske paas jaaongi, main aisi dikhti hoon tumhe, itna bhi bharosa nahi hai mujhpe, aur haan tumhe kya laga, tum aaoge, aur Chinky se milne jaaoge, aur woh mujhe kuch nahi batayegi, best friend hain meri, isne sab record karke mujhe bheja" Kunj managed to finally grab onto Twinkle's hands and he put them behind her back to avoid her hits.
"Haan, bewakoof hoon main, lekin tum bhi mujhse badi bewakoof ho, ek baar phone nahi kar sakti thi"
"Maine kiya phone, tum nahi uthaaye isme meri galti kya hai"
"Aur yeh dawai, tum khaana kyun nahi kha rahi, paagal ho gayi ho, kuch ho jaata to tujhko"
"Toh ho jaane do mujhko kuch, kisko parwa hai meri"
Kunj understood where Twinkle was getting at and he kissed her on the cheek "Hai na tumhari parwa"
Twinkle was trying hard to stop herself from blushing and just shrug all this off but she had missed Kunj, the way he loved her and the way he cared for her. "Accha kisko hai meri parwa" Twinkle said in a sassy tone
"Woh... Chinky, Bebe aurrr Yuvi"
Twinkle was shocked, she had expected Kunj to say himself but clearly he knew that Twinkle wanted to be pampered and pursued. "Haan sach kaha tumne, yeh teeno BOHOT SPECIAL HAI mere liye aur..." She wasn't even able to complete her sentence as Kunj took her and started kissing her. The kiss was passionate and heartfelt. They had missed each other and each others presence in their lives. These 6 months apart really did show them how important they were for each other, they certainly weren't going to live without each other again.
