1Great point u raised. I want to highlight one more aspect and it is related to masculinity versus femininity and which might be the reason why we do not get to see the sufferer side of men in media. Let us forget Ramayan for a while and consider four characters as four normal persons of today- Ram, Sita and their respective psycho lovers- Shurpi and Jayant. Jayant is a psycho lover. Fell for Sita's beauty, tried to woo her and when she opposed, couldn't take a no and tried to harm her and even succeeded as well. Shurpi again is an obsessive mental case, is head over heels in lust with Ram. When he denies, she tries to harm herself in front of Ram as opposed to the actions of Jayant. Ram is extremely frustrated, although is able to give punishment to Shurpi, but that he is not doing as she is a woman, which again is the test of his patience. Thus, the pattern is different for both psychos although intentions are same.
It is rare in the society to look at man as a sufferer that too in the hands of a woman because men are masculine by their build up and are considered strong as well. They are shown as able to defend themselves and definitely capable to back off a woman easily. On the other hand, women are considered as timid, soft and biologically weaker than men (which is true as well). Therefore, whenever there is a case of women being oppressed by man, it is easy for the media to give justice to the woman and give hard punishment to man (I agree that oppressors must be punished harshly). But we rarely get the news of a man being oppressed mentally in the hands of a woman and media giving attention for providing justice to man. Ohh, this just has reminded me of the movie Aitraaz'
Also, when Shurpi will be given punishment, Lakshman's intentions will be scrutinized. Sita's dialogues in the promo are the dialogues of the society. Women sometimes do get the benefit of them being a woman irrespective of the deeds performed by them. If a man by chance looses the cool in such siutatn, he becomes the punching bag. Although, it is true that women are clearly more sufferers of violence in the hands of man, it does not justify the deeds of a bad woman.

A very well portrayed scene .
A very impressive performance by Ashish .Very true that there such Nobel qualities in men too that are put to test by some Surpanakas .Ram was indeed the Avatar to show this deep love , loyalty , faith and respect for his spouse in Men which was tested throughout their stay on earth !Though maybe rare such Men are in good numbers even today .It is required to highlight such characters which is the need of the days though a very aggressive effort to promote the other less loyal ones is being made by Media !Society seems to justify the wrong side of men more easily and in the course increases their numbers instead of being a check !For a good society to exist it is important foe every memeber ( men and women) to be upholding the right values of life both towards the family and the outside world .It was nice to see the predicament of Ram to control his anger in such a frustrating situation .
