The cheers from the crowd were still echoing in his ears.Today's concert was a huge hit for him yet he was here, in a lowly bar drinking away his sorrows, guilt and unhappiness.
Sona was curious about him, she followed him from the concert place till here like a shadow but she was yet to make her first move.She was unable to understand him ,from far he exactly look like a famous personality, partying all day and night but there was something else in his eyes making him different.She couldn't understand why her boss gave Dev Dixit as her new assignment ,for god's sake she is head of her department and only do national and political assignment not some bollywood mirch masala type.She got up from her seat,calculating her every move and went where he was sitting.
"Jack Daniels.Single"
She said to bartender.Knowing well that it would catch Dev's attention.Bartender nodded at her.
"Woah! You must be very sad , if you are ordering that"
Dev was surprised, never in his life he has seen a girl who could handle Jack Daniels.
He looked at her, her bottomless jet black orbs staring back at him.He was mesmorized by her eyes.
"Must be effect of drinking"
He thought to himself.
"Why can't i order that.Are you saying me I am weak"
She said knowing well that she was provoking him.This trick always worked on Arrogant ,rich people like him.
"No"
He said shaking his head and laughed, clearly enjoying getting her all riled up on such a simple thing.
"But I am impressed"
She was at a loss of words,he didn't insult or fought with her like she expected.Well this is new.She knew he's different but this different, she never expected it.
"I am glad to impress you Mr.Dixit.By the way ,Why are you here??"
She asked unable to keep bitterness away from her tone.Her hate for him coming between her work.She can not let this happen.For her work is first priority , other than her brother.
Dev was taken aback by her bitterness, he couldn't fathom it.
"Eager to know me, my whole life story"
He bitterly laughed.Everyone wants to know about him but no one ever tried to know him, his true self.
"Barely.I know you enough to hate you"
These words just slip out of her tongue. She was frustrated with herself, how can she let her emotions come between her work.
"Huh! You hate me ?? You barely know me"
He said arduously.He was amused by her behaviour, where every other girl tries to befriend him for ulterior motives,she was openly admitting her hate for him although it disturbed him as to why she hates him.
"but you are cute"
"I don't care.I think I am done here"
Her nose flared up, this man was insufferable.She thought.
"Cute!! What am i, five"
She thought aloud.Which caused Dev to laugh out loud.She got up from her seat to leave as she had enough of him but as she got up , he pulled her back by her wrist, leaving a burning sensation there.She can clearly see his molten chocolate orbs, which were twinkling.
"Uh- huh. Not so fast.Since you hate me so much and i find you interesting"
He thought for a second and then said
"And cute.Let'splay a game"
He purposely said cute just to annoy her.This girl was pulling him towards him.With her he was behaving like his old self.Happy.
"No.You are drunk and i don't even know you.So i am outta here"
Saying this she went away and this time successfully.She was utterly confused as he wasn't like media always shows him.Brooding ,dark and dangerous.Instead he seemed like a normal and happy man.
"Guess what ?? I'll have to word hard on this case"
she said to herself as she ignites the engine of her car and went to her home .
Dev was still sitting there, her face imprinted in his eyes.He laughed as how skillfully he dialed his number from her phone that she was carrying, when she was busy fighting with him.He knew he shouldn't have done that, he couldn't afford to get close to somebody yet he did that and It felt damn good.

Sona was sleeping peacefully , it was one of those rare times when she would sleep in an instant.Suddenly her phone blared up , disturbing her dreamless slumber.She murmered angrily and picked it up.
"You better have a good reason to call me at this time"
She said without even seeing the caller id.
"Well someone's grumpy .Hello to you too"
Dev's slurred voice spoke from the other side.
"Who is it"
She asked although she had a fair idea of who could it be
"And how do you get my number"
"One question at a time ,please"
He again slurred.
"To answer your first question, i am Dev but i guess you know it.And about second question, well its for me to know and you to never find out"
With that he giggled.Who could have been thought that Dev Dixit will be giggling.
Dev on the other hand was drunk out of his mind, everything was fine until she left from the ,the very first time he was happy but as they say happiness doesn't last forever.So one call from his dad and he was again thrown in the fake world.
"You are Drunk Drunk.And why are you
calling me"
She said irritation seeping through her veins.
"I m not drunk, i am dev. And i called you because"
He stopped talking.She thought he was asleep.
"Mr.Dixit ,i am hanging up"
"NO"
he yelled through the phone
"Because you never told me your name, mystery girl"
He said.His voice was so childlike that she couldn't help but awe at it.
"And don 't call me Mr.Dixit"
He frowned.
"Why"
She asked curious about it.
"Because my dad is Mr.Dixit and i hate him"
He said ,remembering the old good times with his dad.
"Now tell me your name"
He asked impatiently.
"Let it be a mystery"
Saying this she hang up the call and lied down on her bed.
Sleep was far away from both of them
She was thinking about Dev and his dad, who is the owner of the music production
company ,where dev works.
On the other hand, dev had his mysterious girl running inside his mind
