On This Day-- Reporters turns One-

"On this Day" we celebrate first Anniversary of our fav show "Reporters" ...I so wish, like Khalid I cud bring a "double tier" cake for celebrations 😆😆... & If I go by Kabir's choice...it should be "Dark Chocolate cake" 😆😆...

On this day last year, we were the most excited...as we welcomed a wonderful show to watch...it feels like it was just yesterday ...that it was April 13 2015...& we were excitedly waiting for the show to begin...were eager for clock to strike 9pm...

Watching which we didn't even realized it will end up turning our favourite show...that we gonna miss it so hard...now that its been 6 months without Reporters...& we are celebrating "This Day""One year of Reporters.

6 months with Reporters...6 months without Reporters...we can say, we missing Reporters as much as we enjoyed watching it...

Though "Jo bhi tha Jaane se pehle hi tha"...but that doesn't stop us from celebrating first Anniversary of our favourite show "Reporters"...

The show that not only gave us something worth a watch...on our TV screens😳...but also brought all of us together...across the countries, across the cities...bonded by love for the show "Reporters" which completes its first year today on 13th April...

Reporters, a show not only about journalism...but showing the hard competitive world of "Reporting"...what goes in b/w the news telecasts...the moment camera goes off...
The show was depiction of both good & bad side of media...& showing a mirror to current news channels...how simple news ends up becoming "Breaking news"... What it takes to for a Reporter...to bring a impactful news story for its audience...
Also, an eye opener for news channels how to always stand for the truths & facts about a news report...instead of just focusing on garnering TRP rankings...

Two different sides of media...were depicted through fictitious channel "KKN" -around which the whole story revolved along with the central characters Kabir & Ananya...who came together with their common passion of journalism...where Kabir, represented the competitive & confident ambitious journalist who worked hard for success...& made a name for himself..."The Kabir Sharma"...

Ananya a free spirited...young reporter idolizing her hero "Kabir Sharma"...& eventually getting an opportunity to work together...& rest as they say is history... Both coming together & fell in love...

But then, our dear Reporters was never just about Ananya and Kashyap... in fact what were they without friends like Ronnie, Richa, Sunny, Baby and especially frenemies like Manav and Malvika. From suave to stylish, honest to fraud... Reporters boasted of no two characters similar to the other. 

Reporters took a step ahead by introducing the wonderful aspect of friendship through Tarini and Kabir. Strong, independent, fiercely loyal and above all - a really good friend. Playing the role of advisor in Kabir's life, Tarini has been the reason of the several reconciliations between Kabir and Ananya. True she too had been part of Kabir's past, but friendship won and rose through the puddle of mud. We bow down to the friendship the duo shared!

Both outdid the other in quirkiness and crazy romantic dreams - however, Sunny literally takes the cake with the childish Romeo heart, especially in his attempts to woo Miss. Baby! A couple truly made for each other, they might have come across as ones less gifted in intellect but each proved their mettle when they had to stand as a support next to a distraught Kabir and Ananya. 

Their loyalties to friends and career are unquestionable and sometimes, it seems normal to see them so crazy. These two are the only characters who have understood each other and themselves right from the beginning! What's wrong if they live life to the full... and sometimes over full extent? 😉

In the world, if there's good, there's bad. Arrive the Satans of Kabir and Ananya's lives. The less said about them the better. All you need to know is that they are sickening souls, laced with money and mock cultures. They never had a reason, except for the lust of the ever elusive power. Murder seems to be a child's play for them. Shreya Bhagat and RG were indeed, the least delightful characters present. But the benefits being... Manav finally rose to his name under the shadow of such evils!

You don't mess with me - that's Khalid. As simple as that. One never got to know who he exactly was but one knew enough to not screw up KKN or Khalid's personal life. He had an air of mystery and humor - which allowed him to yield the most power of them all.

THE GOOD ONES

Now, if there's bad then the Lord up there has sent the equally good. From friends like the Inspector, Tinu and the loyal stringer to even family members such as Armaan, Ananya's mother, Kabir's brother and Anurag - Tarini's brother. These people have shaped the different dynamics between Kabir and Ananya and have often gone beyond their roles to help them out. No matter what - they've always thought and wanted the best for their people.

Pehli baar, they had stolen our hearts with the brief promos. 

What was the world of journalism? Who was the true journalist? Did hierarchy matter in justice? And who can forget that scorching kiss! 

Also, we had our dearest Rajeev Khandelwal and Kritika Kamra back with a bang!

Pehli Mulaqaat, Pehli Tashan... The introduction of the characters left us giddy in excitement. 

So did the satisfaction when reality jumped out. No heroes ever end up as one in the first place. 

Ananya was more than a bumbling reporter and a great fan - she proved her mettle! 

And as far as Kabir was concerned, it was wonderful to see him be the natural suave Kabir - not a Romeo ;)

Pyaar ka pata nahi, attraction hona hi tha. 

There's fire and kerosene... do we need to know what happens when talent and credibility, curiosity and experience, attraction and arrogance come together?

No wonder the world's suffering from Global Warming!

Kuch Toh Hua Hai 

Was it when his lips brushed against her temple? Was it when she grasped his hand? Was it when he held her in his arms? Was it when they clutched on to each other? Was it when Kabir reveled at her attention and she did at his? 

What had happened... the hearts just started to beat, faster.

Yeh ishq nahi aasaan, bas itna samaj lo ki aag ka dariya hai aur doob ke jaana hai. 

Love brings around possessiveness and it was just so natural to see Kabir losing his cool and forgetting the logic he was famous for, for the girl with curls. 

Love brings around expectations and it was just so natural to see Ananya wanting him to communicate but relent to clarify any of his misconceptions. 

Ego... never really had a place in love, right?

"I love you, more than myself..."

Stripped of their egos, stripped of their vices and with the aid of an angel called Trisha... the couple finally saw through what it meant to be with the other. 

Kabir took the plunge but Ananya was ready to take him into her arms. 

An I love you was all that it took. 

"Yeh hai na..."

The shy referral, subtle innuendos and breath of teasing, naughtiness gave us a glimpse towards the relationship our headstrong protagonists would share. 

Didn't we want this to go on... for ever and ever. 

Sharam, boyfriend, bachpana... 

Just like any other couple, but with tons of adorableness, humor and banters. Never had we seen a relationship so real. 

Ananya's admittance of a boyfriend. Ronnie's bff pesky teasings and of course, Mr. Sharma's witty one liners. Gosh, what a romance! 

The name's Kutty - Bhadresh Kutty

No one can dare to say anything to his "Jaan" cause Kutty will reduce you to putty! 

The man who can make James Bond bow down in shame. Bhadresh Kutty is by far one of the most lovable characters Reporters introduced to us. 

Kabir sahab, tons of taaliya and pappiya from this end ;)

Kuch accha kaam karne se pehle muh meetha ho jaye!

Oh this would have undoubtedly been the most delicious Cadbury ad ever! Of course with the little nok jhoks Sadu had with the Paagal, the little reconciliation and an effort to promise his heart to her won the mother's approval and his girl's heart.

Kya baat, kya baat, kya baat

The First Date

Red dress - check

Hot suit - check

Candlelight dinner - check

Close dance - double check

And a fan certainly doesn't need anything more than this - attained enlightenment. 

And then came his past, with a storm! Shreya! 

Her intentions were just as evil. As one say...  beware of a stranger who claims to be a friend than an enemy who openly declares his hate. 

Raw wounds resurfaced, clashes arose!

But Kabir and Ananya fought back to keep their love in check. Neither the phony friendship nor the maligning of their characters could prove strong enough to break their relationship!

Soon the pandora's box opened. While her mother received the vile twisted form of reality from Shreya... our hearts melted along with Ananya's on seeing the pain Kabir suffered. When Ananya accepted him back, with open arms... the scene stole our minds and souls!

When one tries too hard to burn the other down with negativity - some things end up taking turn for the better - thus happened with Kabir and Ananya! Shreya tried to separate them... to only make them bound with each for seven lives! Ah... the proposal! <3

And for once, the lord himself tested the strength of their love... to only bow down before them! The bomb sequence had us holding on to the edge of our seats!

Was it true! Were the lovers we so were a fan of taking the first step to be each other's forever? The engagement was delightful - with both of them looking as dapper as possible and can we barely forget Sunny's proposal! The promise to Papa was emotional but as the duo shared soft moments... something told us that this was the calm before the storm! 

It pains me to sketch what happened next! Ananya and her mother falling prey to Shreya's trap! The split of the lovers over the mysterious death of Sudhir Kashyap. The agony of Kabir and helplessness of Armaan and Ronnie - those who saw through Shreya's ploy. But alas, the air cleared... the duo reached to each other, only when the man who was everything to Ananya died in the accident she was supposed to be murdered. The sacrifice didn't go vain. Ananya rose from the tragedy, the manavta in Manav came alive and Kabir's presence brought justice! 

Distraught as Ananya was... she did see the folly in her actions after having living out her mission. But was it too late?

The confession, again. 

He couldn't live without her, neither could she. She made mistakes and realized and Kabir... he had paid too much for keeping his own set of prejudices and grievances. 

Ananya didn't run towards Kabir. 

They both broke free of everything and took each other into a fierce embrace - being just the way they were meant to be.

Ronnie's dying wish came true -  at last! 

Epilogue

The Epilogue was one of the best things ever in Reporters. 

For Sunny and Baby, the duo might be hitching next! And to think of it... Baby isn't all that Baby ;)

For Richa... maybe love's there again - right around the corner!
For Khalid, he made sure that no matter what happens... his baby KKN is back with its life!

For Manav, he realised that a bit of honesty was all it took for him to get his ambition.

And as far as our Kabir and Ananya. They both truly know what it is to be in the others shoes and respect it.

REPORTERS - the name in itself was very intriguing, something uncommon on Indian television. Is it the story of Reporters reporting or their personal lives or something same in new bottle! Will the story be focussed or TRP driven what they want to show us? Crazy searches on the net going through the press notes interviews of everyone connected with the show to get an idea. Rajeev Khandelwal returning to TV after so many years, Kritika Kamra only does hatkey ones.
First came the intense first promo followed by sensational second one the third one revealed the leads name and their first impression of each other.

On 13.04.2015 at 9pm we sat in front of our television sets to know what is REPORTERS all about. They showed us how news is created collected developed presented sometimes twisted. They showed us how to win over your opponents. What happens in PCR how a word said deleted from record- online editing, hidden cameras everything we wanted to know about reporting and newsroom with a pinch of personal lives of the persons attached with a news channel.
For more than 100 episodes we weren't sure or better say clueless about what had happened to Mr. Sudhir Kashyap and how Kabir Sharma is involved in it.

REPORTERS was real relatable as it was the story of fallible faulty persons no OTT situations. REPORTERS has once again taught us to love trust respect believe true friendship and even rivalry and jealousy.
Every actor was born to play their characters, they were so effortlessly perfect be it Anita, Armaan, Khalid, Malvika, Manaav, Richa, Ronnie, Trisha, Sunny, Baby, Khurana, Tarini Anurag Rahul and also Shreya. We felt Madhonath was the real Baghi Desu also. Not to forget other episodic characters.

I can vouch for this that we the forum members jumped in front of Tv sets at 9pm and glued to our forum page screen in the next day afternoon refreshed it many times for the "REVIEWS AND ANALYSIS" given by PURNIMA.
Miss those days really.

REPORTERS ended on 19.10.2015 just the first day of Durga Puja, the greatest festival of Bengal, it was some sort of visarjan for me from serials and tv but Reporters still in mind and soul.


Life after REPORTERS is life with REPORTERS reliving the moments watching and re watching the favourite sequences.We get to know so many persons in the forum through this serial thank you and also going through the FF's running on the forum.

1. Aur Jane Se Pehle Dhyan Mein Rakhni wali sabse khaas baat - "Kamyabi ki taraf pehla kadam jaroori nahi ki sacha ho,achha ho! Kyunki Sachai, Achhai  aur  Kamyabi kabhi achhe dost ban hi nahi sake. Yeh teeno ek dusre ke virodhi hain."

2. Jaane se pehle ek sawal pandit ji - " Sach Kya hai? 

Jo hum padhe, jo sune ya jo dekhe woh sach hai ya sach in sabke piche ki koi parat; humare andar koi fitoor." 

3. Khalid Jane se pehle ek baat -"Ek Reporter aur Editor ke rishtey ko mein sabse badh kar manta hoon. Yaha jo mujhe aur mere agenda ko aage badhane mein mera saath dega ya jo mere channel ko aage badhayega woh mera,baaki sab parare."

4. Jane se pehle ek baat - "Aaj information - jaankaari hi power!Aur power se gunah tak ka fasla bahut kum hota hai. Toh aaiye aap hum par aur hum aap par nazar rakhein taaki hum mein se koi ek ish power ka galat istemaal na kar sake."

5. Jane se pehle ek baat - "Jish waqt hum kisi insaan ya ghatna par roshni daal kar camera uspar kar dete hai woh sirf insaan ya ghatna nahi rah jaati,khabar ban jati hai! Hum khabrein banate hain,yehi sachai hai news channels ki."

6. Jane se pehle ek baat - "Baat kehne ke mauke toh bahut aate hai lekin agar sahi waqt par sahi baat ki jaye toh uska asar kuch aur hi hota hai.

Kisibhi nirnaye par pahunch ne se pehle sikke ke dusre pehle ko bhi dekhe,sach sayad kuch aur ho!Loktantra mein bahumat wo taqat hai jiska agar sahi istemal na kiya jaye toh kisi apradhi ko satta mein laya ja sakta hai aur kisi nirdosh ko apradhi saabit kiya ja sakta hai."

7. Aur Jane se pehle ek khayal -"Kya aapne kabhi socha hai ki hamari roz marra ki zindigi mein hamari khusiyon mein,hamari kamyabi mein hamari Aadatton ka bahut bada haath hota hai. Lekin jab wohi aadatein hamari kamzori ban jaati hain toh us se bahar nikal ne ka sirf ek rasta hota hai - khudko chunauti dena!!" 

8. Aur Jane se pehle - "Kya aapne kabhi socha hai ki ek din mein bhale hi 24 ghante ho lekin unn 24 ghanto mein 86,400 pal chhipe hote hai. Haar maan ne wale ke liye ek din bhale hi kum ho sakta ho lekin jitne wale ke liye 86,400 pal bahut hote hain. "

9. On air Jane se pehle ek baat - "Ek kursi ko paane ke liye chhal,kapat,taqqat ka istemaal hota hai ; ladhaiyaan ladhi jaati hai. Par hum ek choti si baat bhul jaate hai,ush kurshi ko pa kar hum uspar baith toh sakenge par kabhi chain ki neend nahi so payenge"

10. Jane se pehle Ek Baat EK Sawal- -"Humari zindangi mein corruption sirf rupiye paise ka toh hai nahi; Humare vichar , humare usool , humare maqsad sab kuch hi toh corrupt hoye jaa rahe hain! Toh aise mein kaise ladhein inse? Samjhdaar hokar ya phir thoda stupid aur pagal ho kar. Kyunki yeh ladhai panga lene ke barabar hi toh hai! Aur samjhdaar toh panga lete nahi,kyun... sochiyega!"

11. Aur jaane se pehle ek baat Malvika- "Rishtein ho ya khabar aapke dil ke jajbat ke saath khel hi jaate hai. Ab yeh hum par hai ki hum kis rishtey ya khabar ko ish layak samjhe ki uska dard sah sake."

12. Aur jaane se pehle ek baat   - "Insaaf saboot mangta hai,Ilzaam gawahi; har sikke ke do pehlu hote hain. Bina jawab dehike Azaadi baimani."

13. Jaane se pehle ek baat Khalid  - "Jo dikhta hai woh bikta hai... jo nahi dikhta woh Beskimti hota hai."

14. Jaane se pehle - "Paap aur Apradh mein kya farq hota hai?

Jab hum kisi dharm ki manyata ke khilap jate hain toh woh paap,jab kanoon ki prakriya ke khilaf jaate hain toh woh apradh; lekin jab sirf kuch rupiyon ke liye insaniyat ki bali chadhayi jaati hai,apne swarth ke liye insaaniyat ko dhoka diya jaata hai toh usse kya kahenge? Paap ya Apradh ya phir dono? Sochiyega." 

15. Aur jaane se pehle - "Aaj ke is tezi se badalte sansaar mein safalta paane ke liye aakanksha aur mahatwakansa dono ka hona bahut jaroori hai.

Lekin in dono ke saath kadi mehnat aur imaandaari judi hoti hai. 

Jis waqt mehnat aur imaandaari par lalach hawi ho jata hai safalta ke maine badal jate hain! Kyunki lalach woh daldal hai jo hume sirf aur sirf niche lekar jaata hai." 

16. Aur Jaane se pehle ek khayal ya yun kahiye ek maswara- - "Agar aap apmaan nazar andaaz nahi kar sakte toh palat kar apmaan kijiye, agar palat kar apmaan nahi kar sakte toh has dijiye;Agar has bhi nahi sakte toh yeh samjhiye ki sayad aap us apmaan ke layak hi the!"

17. Aur Jaane se pehle - - "Baat kahne ke bahut tarike ho sakte hai achhe,bure,bahut bure lekin in sabke liye baat ka hona bahut zaroori hai;

Agar baat hi nahi hogi toh baatein kahan se hogi?"

18. Aur Jaane se pehle - "News dikhane ke do tarikke hain - Direct aur Indirect . News kitni sambedansil hai , kitni sensitive hai us ke hisab se lekin news chipana samaj ke prati gunaah mana jaa sakta hai "

19. Aur Jaane se pehle ek choti si baat zara hatkar - - "News ki duniyaan mein ek reporter ke apne jazbaat ki kya jagah hoti hai?Utni hi jitni jung mein ladh rahe ek sipahi ki , woh sirf apna farz nibhata hai. Uska rishta sirf farz se hota hai ,na khud se na kisi apne se kyunki usike bharose uski tukdi , uski fauj , uska desh kal subah ki kiran ki umeed lagaye bethe hai "

20. Aur Jaane se pehle - "Paristithiyaan badal sakti hai , hallat badal sakte hai , shama badal sakta hai lekin agar iraadein atoot ho toh har samasya ka hal mil sakta hai! Kamiyabi fitrat mein nahi iraadon mein hoti hai "

21. Aur Jaane se pehle zara gaur kijiyega - "Kismat aur Khabar ka bahut hi ajeeb rishta hota hai;Kabhi kismat se khabar mil jati hai aur kabhi kabhi khabar se kismat badal jaati hai!"

22. Aur Jaane se pehle ek khayal ya yun kahiye ek sawal - "Kya Pratiyogita aur Chunauti do alag alag baatein hai ya ek hi sikke ke do pehlu? Kya khudko behtar sabit karne mein humari kabiliyat,jeet,behtari chhipi hoti hai ya sirf humara ahem? sochiyegaa... "

23. Aur Jaane se pehle ek choti si baat - "Humare aapsi 'bhedbav' humein nahi bant te , humari apni 'kamiyaan' humein bant ti hain.  "

24. Jaane se pehle ek khayal sochne ke kabil - "Personal aur professional mein kya farq hai?Kya yeh kehdena ki ek ke saath jazbaat jude hain aur dusra rukha zindagi ka kafi hai...? Ya phir ek dil se judi baat hai aur dusri dimag se? Kya insaan khudko ish tarah bant kar jee sakta hai?  

Pata nahin.. maine toh suna hai aur sikha hai ki kamiyabi sirf unhiko milti hai jo apne kaam ko personal maan kar karte hain aur apni personal baaton ko bhi professional ho kar dekh sakte hain aur samajh sakte hain ...Aapka kya khayal hai?"

25. Aur Jaane se pehle - "Kehte hai Raajneeti mein sab kuch maaf hai kyunki kuch nahi saaf hai;Lekin aisa nahi hai ki saaf sutri raajneeti ho nahi sakti , saaf sutri raajneeti log hone nahin dete! Dhande gande nahi hote , dhande mein bande gande hote hai!  "

26. Aur Jaane se pehle - "Shaq,woh bala hai jo ek baar chadh jaaye toh rishton ko khokla kar deti hai. Shaq ki koi seema nahi hoti aur shaq se nazrein bhi kamzor pad jati hain kyunki agar sach saamne bhi ho tabhi dikhayi nahi deta!"

27. Aur Jaane se pehle - "Atmavishwas yani confidence woh taqat hai jo aapki teesri aankh khol deti hai aur atiatmavishwas yani overconfidence woh kamzori hai jo aapke akal ki khidki band kardeti hai! Ati mati bhrasht kar deti hai!!"

28. Aur Jaane se pehle ek choti si baat - "Jab aap kisika sukriya aada karte hain toh yaad rakhiyega aap sirf ish baat ke liye Thank You nahi kehte ki jo usne aapke liye kiya, aap thank you ush baat ke liye bhi kehte hain ki usne aapko us ek pal mein hi sahi lekin aapki khamiyon ke saath aapko swikar kiya.Thank You kehne se udhaar kum ho naa ho mann ka bojh thoda halka jaroor  ho jata hai"

29. Aur Jaane se pehle  - "Na meri sharm hai na anna meri,sar uthakar maafi chahta hoon;Insaan hoon,galti karna hai fitrat meri! I j a z a t?"

30. Aur Jaane se pehle - "Kabhi kabhi humare behekne mein sach mahakne lagta hai.Jante hai kyun?Kyunki nasha, Insaan ko kamzor kar sakta hai , sach ko nahi! "

31. Aur Jaane se pehle ek choti si baat - "Zindagi ke khel mein haarta wohi hai jo zokhim uthane se darta hai, Koi bata de usse ki jeetne ke liye kabhi kabhi haarna bhi padta hai "

32. Aur Jaane se pehle - "Jaante hai kisika ehsaan lekar ya kisi par ehsaan karke hum chote ya bade nahi banjate,haan kisika vishwas tod kar hum chote jaroor ho jate hain aur kisika vishwas jeet kar sayad bade. Lekin yeh baat bohat se logo ko bohat der mein samajh mein aati hai. Hai ki nahi?  "  

33. Aur Jaane se pehle - "Crisis mein yani sankat mein sabse pehle jo ghayal hote hain woh hain - humara sayam aur hamara aatmavishwas,aur yeh wohi do hathyar hai jo humein usi sankat se bahar nikaal ne mein sabse jyada sakshyam hote hain.In dono hathyaron ko sankat ke un kshano  mein jo surkshit rakh pate hain,baazi wohi jeet te hain.Humari sakshiyat ki asliyat ka pata inhi kshano  mein chalta hai"

34. Aur Jaane se pehle - " Kuch log ish bhram mein jeete hai ki kisiko barbaad karke woh abaad ho sakte hai! Magar woh yeh baat bhul jate hain ki nakaratmak soch, woh aag hai jo annt mein apne irt girt sab kuch jala deti hai! Itihaas gawah hai ki woh sakaratmak soch hai jo hume hamari manzil tak le jaati hai."

35. Aur Jaane se pehle - " Jeevan ke sangharsh mein ek umeed hi hai jo humein jeeveet rakhti hai, aur umeed ko jeeveet rakhta hai hamara 'hausla' ... Sangharsh kadda ho sakta hai, halaat chunautipurn ho sakte hain, samay pratikul ho sakta hai; lekin jabtak hausla zinda hai, umeed nahi marti hai "

72.Jaane se pehle - " Sach aur Haqeeqat bahut kareeb hote huye bhi, bahut dur hote hain. Sach humare saath jeeta hai, lekin hume haqeeqat mein jeena padta hai. Sach se phirbhi bhaga jaa sakta hai, lekin haqeeqat ka saamna karna padta hai!"
