March 3rd.The much awaited day is finally here.
8 years back, on this very same day a beautiful show named 'Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil'
and a magical couple 'premeer' entered in our lives and took us to a journey filled with love,

innocence, passion, care, misunderstandings, separations, scarifies, morals and values. Jag diya rasma, ishq nahi janta Dil betaab hai, tujhko hi manta Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil,
as the name indicates, was about the journey in search of heart.
It narrates the fairy tale love saga of Prem Juneja and Heer Maan, a responsible pardesi boy from Canada and a sensible desi girl, who were born only to love and to be loved by each other.
Bonded by birth, separated at very young age only to meet after years to fall passionately in love, Premeer redefined the word 'love'.
They showed the world that love can be pure, innocent and passionate same time. Their simple innocent gestures expressing love for each other, those intense eye locks, duppatta scenes, handlocks, teasing and deep emotional breakdowns.
Everything about prem and heer had a magical aura which made premeer stand out from the rest and made the way to one of the evergreen onscreen couples of all time.

t wasn't just prem and heer that made Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil.
Along with a classic love saga of premeer, KDMHMD unfolds cute love story of Preet and Meher,
two people who end up together unexpectedly and found soul mates in each other.
And also a beautiful journey of two families, Junejas and Maans, which later merged to one.
The strong friendship that lalit and Balraj shared, Lalit's attachment and love towards his mother land, Gayatri's love for prem changing everyone's perspective towards step mother, the bond which prem, preet and harman shared, the protectiveness of heer towards meher, the support of kulraj and kiran,the little angel chahat, spoiled brat veera, classy vamp daljeet ..
Kis desh showed how a love saga can merge to a family drama.
They made us smile, they made us cry, they made us laugh and they made us angry and they taught us to love.

Dream or Imagination of G3 : Prem's step mom:

An analysis by newt2007G3 & Prem creation from Vivirti_Suvian2

Gaytri Juneja She is beautiful in her elegant saree and always had a loving smile on her face. She entered Juneja house as second wife of Lalit Juneja who had a girl and boy from his first wife. She walked into life of Prem and Kulrag as step mother. But she always considered them as her own children... above all other kids of her own womb. It is wonderfully narrated, where Harman, Preet and Veera talking about Prem trying to take all property for himself. She confidently threw bunch of property papers and asked Prem to select his choice of property. Prem selected his mother ignoring properties. Proud mother stood there with tears of joy. She didn't deliver him but she knows his every heart beat.

She is a traditional Indian mother with loving heart. She understood her kids every move. She never had strength to raise her voice against her husband. Yet she stood supporting her kids.

She silently prayed for Prem when she came to know his love for Heer. Until Lalit realized Heer being his friend's daughter, Gaytri stood as supportive strength to Prem.

She slipped into zombie state after hearing Prem's death. Her life is revived to normal only when Prem came alive infront of her. That shows how much she loved Prem. She was always determining to bring Prem's love into his life. Gaytri turned negative. Is it so? Yes said many. No said few.

After Veera's marriage to Heer's brother Nihal, Gaytri showed some changes in her attitude towards Heer. Veera being last kid with all comforts struggled to adjust in less status house. Gayatri is worried for her last child's happiness. Her inner worry being fueled by newly entered DIL and Veera being puppet in high status bhabi.

She didn't intend to hurt Heer. She very well know hurting Heer is hurting her own son's heart. One side, She tried to instigate Nihal to think more about his wife and her comfort. Other side, She tried to teach her little daughter about marriage life. Little she knows Maya and Veera are playing tricks on her. Here she is a not calculative mother to realize the negative web around her.

After veera's death, Gayatri changed into full fledged MIL. Where did her heart of knowing her Prem's gone? Why did she never try to understand her own daughter's mistake? what made her heart turn into negative? She started consider Prem and Kulraj as her step kids. Why?

Every mother has little too much love on her last kid. Same happened here. Sudden loss of her loving daughter pushed her into state of depression that started firing on Heer, because Heer has been replaced Veera's place in everyone's heart. This started hurting mother Gaytri. Evil Maya pouring oil into burning fire destroyed happiness of Prem and Heer.

When Prem's accident happened Heer was there to help her and Prem returned to save her. This time there is no one to save her. Lalit hated her because of insulting and ignoring Heer. Prem being mama's boy listened only to her commands. He never tried to guide his mother to correct side. All the other kids avoided her. Simply there is no one to guide her to truth and reality.

As she started winning her game of separating prem and Heer, her confidence grew and started keeping up status in that point. She never got an opportunity to correct herself. In her depression state, she made an error. Instead of correcting that error Prem stood silent to his mother's command. Some level of error rest on Prem's shoulder too. He never had the strength to open his mind to his mother.

Gaytri initiated separation of Prem and Heer. it was continued by Prem and Heer because of their inability to find the truth. They won't be separated for so long if they had same courage of earlier situation. Prem and Heer never used their brain after Veera's death. Their heart of knowing each other's heart gone forever.

Situation used Gaytri to bring storm into Prem-Heer marriage life. So she was never a negative character. If so, she won't have supported and consoled Heer when Ashlesha filed abuse case on Prem.

Gaytri is a possessive mother.

Well the wishes doesn't end here friends. I actually wrote something about our show and people associated with it though I am late to post it..😉

Hope you like what I wrote..😳

8 years of Kis Desh or should I say 8 years of Love, Hate, Fun, Tears, Joy and Hope.

8 long years, We were relishing our memories of our beloved show and we do that in the further years to come. Through the show, we have seen Love, hate, fight, happiness, togetherness and lastly the beautiful bond between not just Premeer but every member of Kis Desh family...

But is it just Premeer chemistry which we enjoyed in our show??!! I would say a big NO and I hope you all would agree with me. A show is not just about main leads though they are the ones because of whom we actually recognize a show. But at times there will be other characters whom we fell in love with apart from the protogonists or whom we hate the most (at few instances) apart from the antagonists

One more character who is as much loved as Prem ( if not more ) is Preet.( well if you call me biased then please do say.. I feel obliged.. 😛). The one character which has added fun element to the Romantic saga and made it worth watchable even when we missed our Prem for few days after his temporary death 😛

Sushant Singh Rajput did complete justification to the character Preet and still is loved for the same by many of us. Don't you agree with this statement guys!! 😉

Now I want to talk about another important character because of whom I have actually started watching the show apart from Premeer...

Well No guys I am not talking about Meher or MEET chemistry.. I am talking about Gayatri!!

Yes, the lady who became the epitome of Motherly Love. Though her character has been shown in negative light after considerable amount of time but her love for her son(step-son) Prem has never reduced. Well I would say it is due to her obsession for her kids which made her blind and she could not realize that she is actually hurting her son with her actions. Still I cannot use the word STEP-MOTHER for her because she was never one. She was and always will be Prem's mother who loved him immensely, more than anyone and may be more than her own kids. This is one fact that can never be changed.

Here comes our Lallu as we all sweetly call him.. I mean our pyare bauji Lalit Juneja who is definitely like a pillar-support to the Juneja family, either it is showing his fatherly concern for his kids, naughty tiffs with Preet, considering his son-in-law and daughters-in-law as his own kids and at times giving his extreme support to them rather than his own people, standing only for the truth even if it meant going against his other relations. Well Bauji, it's very rare to find people or rather a father like you.

OUCH!! I completely forgot to say some beautiful words for our beautiful Meher.. Now when I have said something about Preet then I shouldnt make Meher wait for too long. Right!! Well what should I say, the cutest sister, the ever so supportive saali, caring and loving wife, understanding daughter-in-law.. She has managed to perform her every role in a perfect manner and we all adore her chemistry with Preet and miss that alot too.

Arey Haan!! How could I leave Daljit chachi behind!! The lady who was responsible for some evergreen scenes in the history of Kis Desh. BE it motherson epi or June 18th or ... or well i think the list wont end as of now. Tasneem Sheikh was the best person to enact the role of Daljit chachi and gave her best shot at it.

Now about Harman, for me there is not much to say about him other than giving him the credit to change the storyline everytime his character got into limelight whether it is by rejecting Meher to get married to his ladylove or when letting Maya leave Juneja house right before Veera's death.. He can be one of that characters in a show who get overshadowed by other main characters but he had been a constant presence through out our show giving his silent support to his family.

Maya has got the much awaited female antagonist role after Daljit chachi's exit and mind you she has done a really good job though her character sketch has changed well after few episodes of her entry. Then she somehow gained the love and support from ardent fans of Kis Desh by giving her support to Premeer and Juneja family.

Now comes Veera, the game changer. The moment she made exit from the show, there was a 180 degree turn for two major characters ie Gayatri and Maya. The spoilt daughter of Gayatri-Lalit , pampered sister of Prem-Preet-Harman. Well if we keep her hell irritating attitude aside, temme frankly how many of you wanted to be in Veera's shoes. Getting immense love from her parents and being the pampered lil sister of three amazing brothers who can turn the world upside down to grant her every wish, she definetly forgot how to cherish such priceless love which made her like a stubborn girl. If only she understand what love is and how it should be valued, before its too late then her life (including Premeer) would have been entirely different.

Now comes the turn of Kulraj Di and Jiju. Though their screen presence is minimum when compared to the other main characters but still she and jiju always gave solid support in the hard times of his family, either it is by lending her shoulder to her brothers during their tough times in personal lives, advicing her mother and trying to put some sense in her about what she doing to her elder son, consoling his father when he actually needed someone's support so on and so forth. She is undoubtedly the darling daughter of junejas with jiju being the sweetest damad.

Now now.. How can I forget the one person who had resulted in bringing the storm in Premeer lives which actually led to their seperation for 6 years.

'Par kabhi kabhi Dooriyan bhi zaroori hai' 😳

Ashlesha Mann, Actually I used to have a soft corner for her in the initial episodes. To think of it I remember liking her character more than Meher in the beginning(no jootis please :p). I couldn't completely hate her for what she had done for Premeer though it is not at all justified but then I felt that her character actually had more scope if only the show continued for longer period. But she still hold highest points in her kitty for changing the course of the show with her one final SHOT.

Well after saying all such good and bad;) things about the characters of our superb show how can I stop myself from commenting on our most lovable jodi Premeer. Though we all know that we dont need any words to describe them as their chemistry is etched in our hearts forever.

The proof of our beloved pair being one of the finest actors is ME writing this article just to celebrate the success of KIS DESH MEIN HAI MERA DIL even after 8 years of the show's first ever episode aired on the channel.

What else do people need to know about Harshad and Aditi who gave life to the characters Prem and Heer.

Okay now I know that I have missed talking about many others who worked and gave their best to make the show loved by one and all. Now you must be thinking who else I have missed when I have covered all the important characters of the show. Guys, dont forget the people who put the same hardwork as our leads and other favourite characters. But yeah the difference is these people work infront of the camera and the people I missed discussing about work behind the camera. Have you ever thought friends, how could we get such a heart-touching love story to watch and discuss if it is not for the director's talent to show the scenes in a beatiful way, for the way creatives have worked upon the script to give the much needed twists and turns to the show, for the way the writers have given the mindblowing dialogues which still echoes in our hearts, for an instance " Heer Prem ka pratik hai aur Prem sabse zyaada Heer mein samaya hai", Well would you get such epic dialogues anywhere else??!!😉 ..not to forget the costumes our favourite character's wore and which we admired and thought at least at one moment 'Khash mere paas bhi aisi dress hoti, khaash woh jhumka mera hota etc etc' and credit for this goes to wardrobe managers and stylists. Well we should appreciate each and every technician who worked on this amazing project and gave us some, no many beautiful memories to cherish..

So Once again THANKYOU Everyone who put their best effort for this beautiful show and made it one of the most lovable Romantic Sagas of Indian TV Industry..

Till the time ends, Premeer Love will be cherished and celebrated.

Happy 8th Anniversary Kis Desh Mein Hai Mera Dil 😃

It's so cool to celebrate the close knit family bonding of KDMHMD

in early days of the show - 2008.

Parents & kids of Maan family and Juneja family.

The siblings' masti, teasing with each other,

the utmost care in which they shower affection is so sweet.

Balraj Maan with his oldest daughter Heer,

when she comes to give lassi in the back yard.

Preet, Harman with Prem discussing business

and Prem grabs Preet's burger.

The village scene or city scene human bonding is

same just the difference in the way they dressed.

So natural and sweet just like in our family.

It was something we can relate to them.

We were introduced to the Heroine Heer and then Hero Prem.

They have not seen each other for years. We learn from the scenes it's

Fans' favorite is Prem, Preet scenes whether it's

having masti, pulling each other's leg or the deep concern they shower at each other.

All Juneja brothers are so caring, though is Harman shown to be selfish at times.

Maan sisters are super cute, watching DJ Chachi sleep,

or listening to her self praised dialogues and react . All too adorable.

DJ the power pact villain of the show is a One of a kind :

she is both funny & dangerous. Her one line dialogues are superb.

Rishab Rampal is villain who almost destroyed

the Hero Prem is another memorable character.

We can admire his natural style of being dangerous

without shouting or threatening with weapons.

My favourite in the show is always J brothers' scenes whether

it's sad or happy.

Love the way they care for each other.

First time we saw in football match in Canada Prem injured calling for Preet.

Preet comes back to join the game though he was upset with his dad.

Then Prem was accused of stealing property all on his name,

Preet stands up for him, falls on his knees hugging

"bhaiyya don't go I apologize for this. I believe you."

Another scene is when Prem was declared dead,

Preet & family cry. Preet missed him the most, his pain is so heart touching.

Similarly Heer and Meher had many caring scenes.

First is the one watching Chachi cute smiles laughing at her snoring.

Then at train station, after their parents' death Heer's lap Meher is sleeping.

Heer though injured in ankle didn't show her pain.

She became a mother from that moment for her little sis.

Meher shouted at the guy for not waiting until they got the bag.

Very protective sisters.

The main characters Prem & Heer share an impeccable chemistry.

Remembering The Creative people behind the scenes especially for early 2008 -

director Gary Bhinder ji - his last project. RIP.

His creative brain shaped up the show & trained the a

ctors so well that even after his passing, their skills remained in tact till the end.

We love Premeer because they showered affection

on each other very deeply in many situations that we watched.

Action vs Reaction we only came to know through these characters.

If one is in pain the other feels the pain.

Same for their happy moments too. Without being in same place

or without knowing each other they started to love and it's never ending.

Prem is attached to his step mom, whether she is right or wrong

he stands by her - it was his strength & weakness.

Heer tired her level best to be a member of her in laws house

but due to circumstances she had to leave.

Fault is on every character. Prem's good side is he loves

the family. Bad side is blind belief in his step mom.

Heer's good side is she too loves her family & friends & in laws.

Bad side is trusting all the people around her & her belief

"Elders need to be obeyed" whether they are right or wrong.

The perfect example of standing by right side is Preet.

He was never ever afraid to point out wrong doings or

praise a person according to situation.

Meher, his partner is very similar to him.

Preet's bonding with everyone including his dad is enjoyable in every scene.

He is The Life of KDMHMD. His masti with Bauji :

Bauji chasing him for calling him bald guy or his utmost

support & belief on his bhabhi Heer after his bhaiya was

declared dead or his cute scenes with kids of

Kul di or his sister Veera and others. Loved all of his actions.

Heer's care for her in laws, Prem and everyone

around her is just as awesome as anyone.

She treats Prem like her son and takes care of his every

need to the best way she could.

Several things she did but one important thing she did

after the advise from Kulraj di is proposing to Prem :

Next official step to live a meaningful life.

First time seen a girl taking this step towards her life.

This was not accepted by Prem.

However as always by his step mom's insistence

he proposes her the same day, for that Heer generously agrees.

For an outsider who might have started to

watching this scene may consider her as gullible girl

who does not have a self respect.

But for someone who watched the show from beginning,

we know Prem does love her but he has trouble deciding his own life.

Therefore Heer agreeing does make sense, so as their life together can begin.

Post leap Prem, Heer and Chahat are most enjoyable

to watch both together and individually.

Chahat brings her parents together. Cute and sweet dialogues.

Heer & Chahat : Walk ke walk & Talk ke talk scene.

Prem & Chahat : Fathers day speech scene.

Premeer grand wedding happened.

All was well for a moment until new trouble starts.

Summer house masti with all couple romancing

and getting caught by Bauji is fun.

Also after G3 leaving the house, family was at peace

celebrating out on a picnic is great.

Characters interested me and so is the bonding of families.

Awesome dialogues

There are many scenes, moments,

romance of Premeer, Bauji G3, Kiran Jiju Kul di,

Preet Meher Harman Maya, Veera Nihal and many more

dance & masti that makes me appreciate the show.

Some fans & their creative work is a way to cherish memories.

Unreal! Has it really been 8 years?
Eight years since the family saga of the Juneja and Maan families
came on the telly and riveted us all to our screens.
Time waits for no one, but one thing is for sure,
Kis Desh Mein Hai Mera Dil will always remain the timeless classic
that touched my heart like no other drama did.
The love, the sibling bonds, the treachery, the villains, the highs,
the lows...to this day, despite knowing all the dialogues by heart,
I can watch an episode and finish a box of Kleenex,
laugh till my sides hurt, or say what the...?

Oh Rabha...just cant believe it has been
8 years after Kis Desh started and 6 years after it ended...
but my craziness, love towards Kis Desh Mein Hai Mera Dil ,
Premeer, Meet is same and still ruling my Heart.
It is the only show and Jodi which ruled me and touched my
Heart so much that I am still craving to see them together
and is increased by every passing day ...
Phreeming, Phrooling over them again and again
making me a Phagal Phan.
Kis Desh Mein Hai Mera Dil is the show where
it taught me about the Love also showed me if your love
and Trust in it is pure and are made for each other

I loved the way it was shown so Beautifully in Kis Desh
and yeah Premeer were true soulmates and both
Harshad chopda and Additi gupta potrayed so perfectly
with their magical bonding and sizzling chemistry

The Family bonding was amazing unlike other Balaji shows
there no fights between sisters and brothers ..
and all revenge dramas...

when the whole Junejas and Manns came together
they always ruled the episodes...

three Juneja brothers Prem, Preet and Harman...
best bros ever, the Mann sisters
Heer and Mehr were support system of each other,
unlike other shows...Best Sister in Law relation between
Kulraj, Heer and Mehr...Tom and Jerry relation between
Lalu and Preet...also my favorite
Trio Prem, Heer and Preet they ruled it when they were together...
then the cute Trio of Prem, Heer and Chahat...
also one of the most important and favourite
Trio which ruled the show is...Prem, Heer and Jugni...
this trio was soo magical...in every emotion of
Premeer we get to see the No 1 Fan our
Jugni dancing with all her Team...which I never saw any other show...
with mesmerizing .. ...title song...Jagadiya Rasma...,
Ishq nahi jantha...and most of the time I find myslef dancing with Jugni ...
Ishq walla..karde challa...Jisnu lagjayae hojaye khalla..
.Haiyee rabha ...still dance whenever I remember them and see
this show in Youtube also Love the magical title song of
Kis Desh...also the beautiful Bg music ...
Hum Is Pal Yahan ...were Deshians ...still live in DESH PAL
and also we got some of the Heartouching Dialogues ...
which will be remembered forever...

Kis desh is my first and most favourite show
and the love for the show and the cast will remain the same forever..
The show gave so many beautiful memories to cherish forever..
That craze when the clock would strike 8 pm,
the title song and the wait to watch my Premeer on screen
n Harshiti off screen is just unforgettable..
I miss the show and all Junejas terribly..
As the 8th anniversary is approaching the desh fever is all over me,
lately I have been watching the episodes all over again..
I realised that no feelings for the show has changed..

what should i say about this show...
It has been 6 years since this show has been off air
but still i can see the same affects of this show
and specially our Premeer on Our deshians.
First of all i like to congratulate the entire cast of Kis Desh Mein Hai Mera Dil
on the 8th Anniversary of the show
Till now i haven't watched the any other show,
like I used to watch KDMHMD.
I still remember that day when i started watching KDMHMD.
It was 29th April'2008 I'd seen the Rasta Roko Scene...
and after that I was like...
"wow" and from that day only I'd became the fan of this show...
and specially the fan of Premeer on-screen chemistry.
In this Balaji show..
.it has shown the greatest family bonding and
the reletionship between Prem-Gayatri,
Prem, Preet and Harman (Prem-Preet specially),
Prem-Lalit,Heer-Lalit, Heer-Meher,
Prem, Heer and Chahat or Heer,Meher and Kulraj.
And the also actors had done the great job,
they putted their soul into that characters.
It was outstanding And the most important thing of this show
that still had affect on me was Premeer/ Harshiti jodi...
seriously i just can't forget them...
all the romantic which has been played on this jodi..
it maybe their nok-jhoke scene, phingoli, emotional/
sentimental scenes or may be it was their dance sequences...
still it made me fall for them all over again ...
seriously I wish those days would come back again
