Daisy Shah, who made her debut with Jai Ho opposite Salman Khan, is close to the actor. The actress seeks advice from the actor from time to time. She even says that it was Salman who convinced me to do Hate Story 3.
Speaking about the same, Daisy said, "Salman was the one who actually got me into this. I had a completely girl next door role in my debut film Jai Ho so he thought I should do this because this role would change people's perception towards me. I was not comfortable doing kissing scenes on screen but he gave me examples of films that has kissing scenes. Right from Alia Bhatt to Katrina Kaif to Kareena Kapoor Khan, everyone has done it on screen and there shouldn't be any problem. He also added that in catholic weddings the couple kiss in front of everyone so there is nothing wrong with that."
The actress further informs that her debut film Jai Ho's box-office collection affected her. "To be honest I was not getting any role after Jai Ho. The industry is all about number games so everybody thought it collected 126 crore so it's a flop film but no one realised that ticket rates were lower than normal ticket rate. If we would have kept the normal rates our collection would have been doubled. Salman wanted maximum amount of people to see the film so the message reaches out. Salman is a big star and if one film doesn't work it doesn't affects his career but it does affects to people who are debuting with him," Daisy added.
When asked if that that was the reason Salman wanted her to do this film, she said, "According to him, Jai Ho and the people who worked in it were hit and we know the reason why it did less business at the box-office. But people blamed me for the debacle of the film. People didn't come to watch me but Salman and he agrees to that. Now, when the film comes on television, people message me but that appreciation was not there when it was required."
Daisy further added that she follows Salman and seeks advice from him. Being close to Salman, she is called as one of Salman's girls. When asked if that annoys her, she said, "I think this will annoy people who are not under his wings but not me. I happily say that yes I am his protg. He is helping me out for all these things. I am very grateful to him. I wouldn't mind people saying that I am under his wings because that's the fact and I am not denying it. At least I know that I am under safe hands."
