People should check their facts.Brothers released during a NON-holiday.AUGUST 14TH
.BOI themselves said Aug 15 didnt benefit Brothers as damage was done through negative reviews released on opening day ie Friday only.And seriously one independence day single holiday is equated to 5 days of festive period of Dusshera?😆..
How about the genre?commercial romcom genre actually appealing to female going audience and families unlike hardcore action-drama Brothers(which was said to be its biggest drawback next to weak direction).6 songs were there in Shandaar! MOST importantly the promotions...Brothers had the worst ever promotions for a Dharma movie as specified by BOI,Indicine etc.Shaandar is being promoted since when? last august?😆..Kjo himself started promoting Shaandar on JDJ,twitter. before Brothers release..All Brothers had going for it,was the trailer.Akki's starpower couldnt draw much audience as he had 2 releases already...Sid is anyhow a flopstar according to IF...so let me ask why superstar Alia Bhatt could not guarantee a 12+ opening after all the favourable factors going for her?? her movie release after a period of 1 year and more! still not enough excitement among her fanbase.

People love turning a blind eye towards Kjo's favoritism towards Alia but truth needs to be said😉.Hope Karma finally starts talking to Papa Kjo for all the ignorance and negligence he meted out to Dharma movies which dont star Alia😛
