The veiled woman in black stamps on flower put for Gayatri's wellbeing. Gayatri thanks Ranaji for bringing her to Dargah & taking care of her. "Saawariya" plays in BG. He says he isnt Ranaji here but a soldier named "Indra" & she is his wife "Rani" as he doesnt want anyone to know their real identity here. Gayatri asks him why is he doing all this. He says he has hurt her and now its his responsibility only to tend to her wounds.

Lakhraaj slaps Swarnlekha and pushes her away. He pulls her Mangalsutra and angrily says that she & this mangalsutra both are meaningless. They both exist but w/o any purpose. He tries to throttle her but she succeeds in escaping & breaks a glass candle-holder. Holding the glass shard she threatens him to kill him if tried to abuse her. Lakshraaj tells her its better to die than to live with her. She is shocked. He again tries to strangle her & says that he is not interested in her or any other woman. Nobody thought of him; she wants husband's love and his father wants a heir. Swarna manages to push him away. He falls back on bed & passes out. Swarna breaks down. She herself pulls her mangalsutra out & throws it away and also wipes her sindoor off.

Mala brings food for Gayatri & apologizes as today she couldnt bring more food. Ranaji hears this. Gayatri thanks her and says food served with love is never less; its more than sufficient. Gayatri asks Ranaji to have food but he denies that he isnt hungry. Gayatri says she knows why he is refusing to have food but her Mother says when food is shared, it never leaves one hungry as happiness of sharing, satiates the hunger. Ranaji sternly refuses to have food. Gayatri too refuses to eat. Ranaji recalls how she had fainted due to weakness. He sees Bansi & Mala feeding each other with their own hands and smiles. Gayatri also sees Bansi & Mala & notices the smile on Ranaji's face. Ranaji asks her to have food as staying hungry wont help her recover soon. She asks him if he doesnt eat, how will he take care of her. Ranaji resigns & starts eating and asks her to eat as well. Gayatri wants to wash her hands before eating but Ranaji stops her & feeds her with his own hands. "Saawariya" plays in BG. Gayatri makes him eat as well.

After dinner both are trying to sleep. Gayatri says she knows Ranaji is still awake. He says he is asleep & asks her to sleep as well. Gayatri says today she saw him smiling seeing Bansi & Mala. She asks him if they reminded him of Rani Sulakshana. Ranaji recalls his wedding with Sulakshana & she falling off the cliff. He feels sad & gets up. Gayatri says she knows she has pressed his Achilles heel and it will give him pain but she wants to know about his pain and wants him to always smile like today. She says, He brought her here coz he cant see her in pain. Same way she too cant see him in pain. People come to this Dargah to get new life and if she can get a new life why cant he. He coming to Dargah indicates that God also wants him to start his life anew. How long will he continue to live in past? He isnt a commoner but a King and King has to look after his subjects. If he himself doesnt come out of his past, how will he make his kingdom progress? Ranaji feels deeply sad. Gayatri puts her hand on his shoulder. He puts his hand on hers so she gets hopeful but next moment he shoves her hand and leaves asking her to sleep. Gayatri gets sad.

In the morning Ranaji is serving food to the poor. "Bhar do jholi meri" religious song plays in BG. He serves food to a poor, old woman but she is crying and doesnt eat anything. Gayatri sees her and feeds her with her hands. Mala comes there and asks Ranaji to take rest. He asks her about the old woman. Mala tells him that the old woman is from a village nearby and her only son died in war against Britishers. He was young. After his death she had gone to seek help from King of Ameerkot but he didnt meet her & she was asked to leave from gate only. MastaniBaba saw her on roads and brought her here. Ranaji is taken aback to hear this. Gayatri wonders what Ranaji & Mala are talking. Mala tells Ranaji, after his first wife's demise, 6 years back, the King of Ameerkot went for some battle and has returned now but it seems his soul is missing. Whats the use when the King dwells on his past only. Ranaji is shocked & gets pensive. He leaves & Gayatri wonders what happened.


In the morning, KuvarUncle & Kokila want to know what happened b/w Lakshraaj & Swarnalekha. Swarna opens the door and Kokila comes inside. She awakes Lakshraaj. Seeing Swarna scared she asks her if all is well. Lakshraaj says Swarna is tired and asks her to take rest. Kokila gets happy. After she leaves, Lakshraaj slashes Swarna's face with glass shard and manhandles her. He threatens her to never reveal the truth of previous night else he'll scar her beautiful face. He leaves. Poor Swarna cries bitterly seeing the bleeding slit on cheek.


Ranaji feels frustrated recalling Mala's words & starts chopping woods. Gayatri tries to stop him but he doesnt stop. He cries & tells her that he was so lost in his lost love that couldnt feel others' grief. He thought of his pain only and not of others' tears. He loved Sulakshana but he forgot that his life belongs to all his subjects. Sulakshana wanted him to be the best King & take care of his subjects but he forgot his own subjects. He says he feels sick of himself. Gayatri holds him. He holds her hand and says, its not her fault but his. She loved wrong person & she shouldnt have loved him as he doesnt deserve love. He feels he is not worthy of becoming a King. Gayatri tries to calm him. He breaks down in her arms.


Mala informs freedom movement revolutionaries about Britishers enjoying in some party today and Bansi says they'll vandalize the party. MastaniBaba is also a revolutionist. Gayatri overhears this convo. and runs away from there but gets caught. Mala points gun at her.
