Actress Rinku
Karmarkar will
soon be seen
playing the role of
an authoritarian Maharashtrian
woman in the upcoming show 'Yeh
Vaada Raha'.
Rinku, who is married to Kiran
Karmarkar, is looking forward to
taking some tips at mastering
Marathi from her husband.
"I am playing a Marathi woman in
the show and I don't want to go
wrong with the accent. My husband
will be my biggest critic when the
show goes on air," she told us.
Although Rinku, a Punjabi, married
into a Marathi family and has been
living in Mumbai for a long time,
she doesn't know the language.

"I can understand the language and
know a few words, which people in
other cities would also know
because of films and TV. I studied
Marathi in school, but I fared poorly.
So, this role is going to be a
challenge," she added.
Not only the language, but tying the
sari the Marathi way is also an uphill
task for the actress. "When I
draped the sari to test the look, I
thought it looked hot. I was like,
'Why didn't I try it earlier?' The
problem is tying a sari the normal
way takes five minutes but draping
it the Marathi way is really tough
and time-consuming," she added.
