7 Bollywood Stars Who Began Their Career With TV Ads
Posted On 10th September, 2015 @ 11:47 am by Ketaki Mankame

Once upon a time, long before stardom hit, Shahid was a Complan boy and Preity was a Liril girl!

Here are Bollywood celebs who paved their way to success from 30 second advertisements to 3 hour long blockbuster hits!

Shahid Kapoor & Ayesha Takia

Remember that extremely old Complan ad which used to play on Doordarshan with a cute little girl and boy claiming to be the Complan Girl and Complan Boy? They're none other than Ayesha Takia and Shahid Kapoor. Took you a moment to recognize them, didn't you?

Aishwarya Rai

Aish had been a glamorous babe even before winning the Miss World title in 1994 and entering Bollywood. Her first ever advertisement was for Camlin pencils but it is with this Pepsi ad with Aamir Khan and Mahima Chaudhary that she gained popularity and became the talk of the town.

Anushka Sharma

One of the most sought after actresses in B-Town started out by being the face of a South Indian skin care brand. That was nearly 10 years ago, and now she is endorsing multiple brands, one of them being a global leading skincare brand. Way to go Anushka!

Varun Dhawan

The hot and hunky actor was once an adorable kid who imparted inspiring speeches at elocution competitions. We're talking about Varun's first ever Bournvita advertisement and watching it has made us fall in love with him all over again!

Preity Zinta

The mischevious and bubbly Preity that we saw in Cadbury's Perk ad was her first advertisement ever. After that she became the refreshing face of Liril and since then, there's no stopping this pretty lady!

Vidya Balan

Vidya must have been just a teenager when she did her first ever advertisement for Surf, but she played the role of a concerned mother effortlessly. That just goes to show what a wonderful actress she has always been!

Deepika Padukone

We got a closer view of Deepika for the first time with her Close-up ad. Since then, we've fallen head over heels on that wonderful Close-up smile of hers.

Deepika and Diana used to model for Maybelline before they became actresses; they used to look absolutely gorgeous in all the ads.
Aishwarya did a Fair and Lovely ad with Mahima Choudhary. How did she forget about this when she claimed that she has never promoted fairness creams? 🤔
