I wanted to make a separate topic today after seeing all the reactions about the results terming it as dirty politics, the winner won't succeed while the rest will and I can guarantee that and all sorts of fanaticism as if only the forum members have voted for the show and not the rest of India.
The show has given India four of the most talented gems in the country. Inspite of people having favorites, there was an unanimous agreement that India had voted for the topmost contestants of the competition- the reason why they have never stepped into the danger zone right from the begining (except Vaishnav). And all we do is bring down one contestant or say it's all dirty politics just because someone I like hasn't won the competition? Disagreements can surely be there. We all have our favorites and defend them but I think it can be done in a more civilized way and not like those usual India forum fights people have over telly couples.
Anyways, to come back to the topic, I would like to wish all the top four finalists congratulations and wish them good luck for their future. They are the future of our music industry and I hope they all keep practicing and keep improving day by day. I am happy that Ananya won because personally for me, she was the dark horse right from the very first episode though it took me a couple more to actually like her singing. But that does not mean the other contestants are bad. I equally wanted Nahid to win because of the vast improvement she has shown in the last few episodes.Nithyashree was fabulous initially but I felt she started straining herself while attempting difficult songs just like Vaishnav so was a bit disappointed but they both made such a great comeback today in the finale.The two songs sung by Nithya really proved she indeed is ready for playback. I badly want a Chil Gaye Naina version by Nithya..she was so good..and same goes for Vaishnav..I personally don't mind him sound girly since his voice will break in a few years but with the range the guy has, I can only hope for the best.
Though I have invested so many weeks in the show, I really hope to get my ROI in a few years when I shift my playlist and change film songs sung by Nithyashree,Nahid,Ananya and Vaishnav. That's where I see them and I hope my wish does come true. The show has been such a big platform for us to discover these four budding talents who are pros at what they do. Let's enjoy that and bid goodbye to the show in a positive note rather than the usual mud slinging that happens in reality show forums,especially when it revolves around kids.
I have had a few problems with this season, it wasn't even a close match to the previous season but I hope they continue with the show so that we can get more such budding talents in the future. And super thankful to Sony for next week's IIJ 1 & 2 concert! It will be so good to see Anjana and the rest of the kids back!
P.S- I also hope Ronita's voice matures in a few years because I don't want to become a buddha when Ronita does playback for films!😆
