Star plus had launched Tereshehermein as youth centric. Through promos,SP promised the viewers that it's going to be different from their usual Saas Bahu shows and introduced HIBA NAWAB & DHRUV BANDHARI as the leads of the show.

The theme "YOUTH CENTRIC" attracted me to this show. But I feel totally cheated for subscribing star plus as they changed the theme of the show into Saas Bahu for the sake of TRPs. The pair ManYa (Dhruv & Hiba )which was promised is also changed,even after tremendous requests from TSM fans.

Being an international fan my family & me rely on these type of Indian shows to know more about the Indian culture and traditions.

Today I'm very much disappointed that star plus is sending wrong vibes about Indian culture Through Tereshehermeins present track,

Through the present wedding track SP & TSM is

1.promoting dowry system,

2. girls family Bowing down Infront of grooms family in the name of Izzat.

Especially elderly people from the brides family are sitting on their knees and pleading to the grooms mom to save the family's iZzat.

3. When a girl was made unconscious & her picture was edited with a guy they showed marriage as the only solution to save the girls Izzat.

Visual media holds an important place in the society as it will inspire the younger generation to Mimic such activities. Star plus on one hand is promoting shows like #IamGirlRising and satyamevajayate where they show the girls to fight against threats ,but unfortunately in their shows they are contradicting and sending wrong messages by girls bowing down to any threats being thrown for their family Izzat.

Media should intervene in this matter & kindly stop the channels from promoting such tracks.

#TereSheherMein once a most loved serial now we started to hate it the only reason behind is you CV's. The serial was going very well but suddenly entire track changed. How could you think this type of stupid track?? And the Mahan word "sacrifice" ufff seriously?? The literate and strong girl will not do these type of stupid sacrifice and cry and behave typically rather they will stand against negativity and fight and seek justice without spoiling the respect of the family. But u changed everything. U spoiled Amaya. And Rachita is not dumb she is very brave and intelligent and responsible girl, she is having the capacity to solve her problems by herself she would also her the problem and save her family's respect and Rama would have definitely supported her. But what you did??? Think of it u collapsed everything.

And star plus your so called. #TRP .. U changed the slot timing, changed the entire track etc. Off course u know fans will not like it but still u did this. Your #TRP will reduce drastically and you will blame audience for less trp and end the show. Waah waah u and your thoughts.

Yes it's just a show, it's just TV, but the message, despite which medium it passes through, resonates very well into the lives of millions of people across the globe. Star Plus, with its bandwagon of writers and producers, have done nothing but taint the sanctity of "rishtas" and "soch." Every few months, Star Plus comes out with a new show bringing to light a woman with dreams in her eyes of standing on her own two feet, and every time this woman is reduced to nothing but a mere object. An object that is used by everyone...from her family, to her friends, to her husband, to her lover, to her in laws, to society. She has no voice, no strength, no courage...but has to solve the entire world's problems by ruining herself. What is the point of showing a woman taking revenge if you show that that same woman does not have the intelligence to think quickly on her feet and avoid the mess in the first place? Why does she have to fall into all the traps, suffer, and have to be saved? If Star Plus had any real concept of what "soch nayi" is, they would show how bravely and intelligently women can avoid or escape their predators, whether that comes in the form of situations or people. But this is precisely why India will never progress much in the social realm...because those in power will never let women shine.
