Outstanding movie!
Never thought I would love this one so much since the trailers were underwhelming for me.
The script is very intelligent and the film is so clever. The first half is a bit slow but you can easily ignore this because you get so engrossed in the performances and the love story. You root for the adorable couple and there is this natural, endearing chemistry between them which makes you go aww at several places. They show you how blind people have a world of their own and they can as capable as us, if not more. The part before interval is AMAZING. Second half is fun, different from usual revenge films and edgy! You can't help but root for Rohan and his smart ideas.

Sanjay Gupta directing it so well was the biggest shocker lol.
Yami is brilliant, Ronit Roy is excellent, Rohit Roy is despicable as Amit Shellar.

And

Hrithik Roshan is SPECTACULAR. There isn't a single scene where you remember that he is just an actor enacting a blind person. When he cries, you feel that pain and despair. He brings about vulnerability and innocence through those golden green eyes and heartwarming smile so damn well. I can't explain this into words nor divulge what is the best part about him because it would be a spoiler. He can sweep all awards this year. You just can't miss this one. Emotional journey enlaced with light humor through the amazing dialogues.
The mind does see all.

KAABIL:

Decent movie.
The story is predictable. I can say what will happen in the next scene.
Liked HR-Yami's chemistry. They were sweet.
HR's acting was superb. Really liked him through out the movie.
Felt little odd in few scenes seeing a blind man doing so much. Little too filmy. But it was overall okay.
Had expected much from Ronit 🤔 Here he failed to match up with my expectations.
Songs were okish.

SPOILER:
It was a shock to know that Yami was raped twice. That was too much painful. Felt a pang in my heart.
Spoiler ends.

Overall a good movie. HR did a great job. He made me feel the pain. Yami was fine too. Ronit was just okay here.
one time watch becoz of the predictable storyline.

Under the shadow: Iranian movie.
Gem of a horror movie made on low budget set on paranoia during iran-iraq war.

Raees was a let down - an average fare..
trailer, teasers, songs all looked so nice, but the movie overall fails to pack a punch..things were very patchy and I duno it was neither here nor there kinds..Nawaz was the star! SRK acted decently well..but nothing to write home about..this performance is definitely not in league of CDI/ Swades

MK looked beautiful all through, but yes her performance was ok, not as bad as critics made it out to be, not as good as she could have been either..

Narendra Jha (his voice is sooo !), Zeeshan Ayub were effective in their parts..

overall - 2/5

Ask me anything - A reflection on social media on how we hide our identity and yet let world know everything about us. All our little secrets are out. The ending is really sad. Movie is thought provoking.

Brilliant movie ...took me back to 80s 90s

Shahrukh and nawazuddin absolutely brilliant - 2 power houses 👍🏼

Shahrukh's entry gave me goos-bump and those Kohl eyes have stayed with me and still haunting me 😳

I was reluctant to see this movie. The trailer never appealed to me. However, the movie was pleasantly better than expected. It is an interesting story line and executed well. The pacing and plot twists were also nice. The soundtrack and infusion of unnecessary item song were distracting though. Hrithik does well with the action.

Raees

This is not Shahrukh's best work, but one of his better ones after a long time. It is a trip down memory lane to both old school gangster cinema and Shahrukh as the grey lead. SRK gives a restrained performance and we get one of the most well developed characters in recent times. There was something compelling about the Muharram scenes, they brought to life the local culture at the time.

Raees vs Kaabil

Both are equal films that shine for different reasons. Watch Kaabil for a tighter story and intriguing second half. Watch Raees for better characters and punchy one liners. There is no compelling reason to pick one over the other unless you have a preference in the leads.

Pink

One of the most relevant films of our times. Every performance is raw and real. I wanted to cry and scream along with the girls in every scene. One of the smartest things the movie does is hold back what happened until the end credits. Personally, I found Amitabh a bit over the top. He took too much space. But I guess they needed a big star to promote this movie. The movie really holds a mirror to society.

The Handmaiden

The Handmaiden is a Korean erotic thriller that is an adaptation of the Gothic Victorian novel Fingersmith. The novel can be best described as an inception of cons with three cons simultaneously taking place with each other resulting in twists and turns. The movie takes a more optimistic approach and resolves within two cons. But the movie ending does take on a darker more sadistic tone. The extended erotic scenes may not be palatable for some, but the art, cinematography and editing make this a must see thriller.
