Part 5

Dear Diary,

Phew!! What a day it was, so tiring. After years, a day like this I have experienced. It all started when Amar started with his demands. Few days back I had promised him that he can demand anything as it was the first time he rode his new horse. He replied saying he will come back with his demand.

Months back because he was requesting me to tell him some pieces of my life, I told him some. One which included was my secret sword fighting training. He was too amused by what I told him. I told him that I was secretly taught to handle weapons and fight for my honour. I, without thinking what I was telling him told that even his father helped me in learning when we were friends.

One such instance, he asked me about his father when I told him that his father was and is a very skilled swordsman. I told this so that he gets inspired by his father.  Even after Kunwar Pratap reminding me now and then to not to share secrets with Amar I shared some. Now I regret doing that. I thought he will be friend but no he took advantage of me.

After the pooja Kunwar Pratap made his way to the court leaving Amar and me there.

Ma saa

Haan boliye nanhe Amar

Woh ma saa aapne hume kuch din pehle kaha ki hum aapse kuch pucch sakte hai

Toh ma saa hum chahte hai ki aap aur dhajiraj...

I was extremely angry with Kunwar pratap, what he had done was not a bit right. He asked his son to convince me to fight against him, which was not at all right.

In the night,

I wanted to shout at him but couldn't so I made my mind to instead slowly punish him by not replying his questions in fact by not talking to him.

Ajabde...

Ajabde...

Arey wah yeh toh so gayi hai. Todi dher nahi ruk skati hai apne pati ke liye. Toh thik hai hume kya

Hum toh unse nahi baat karenge, nahi nahi ab inka naam hum kumbkaran rakenge taki sabko pata toh chale ki yeh apne pati ke aane se pehle so jati hai (facing the window)

Early in the morning, I got ready with my warrior clothes and pagdi. With no much jewellery and just a tilak I reached the ground and found only Amar and Kunwar Pratap there. The fight began.

First I attacked him, he defended well. Then came his attack with full force. I was so nervous that I did not concentrate. I had been many years since fighting last time with him. Only till few months after my marriage I practiced to use the sword, later I completely forgot to even touch my sword.

Next attack also was received by me. He was not ready to stop the attacks. Then I made sure I attacked next. I attacked him and he defended well. Many attacks were made and many were defended. Now we were not in the ground. Slowly I kept moving back and he kept moving front. Amar was moving with us.

Around the arena were many pillars, due to my movement I reached the pillar, struck there not able to move.

Amar

Ji dhajiraj

Jayiye aap humare sath talwar baazi karne ke liye tyaar ho jayiye

Ji dhajiraj

Kunwar pratap apne unhe kyu beja??

Karanwash hi beja humne. Chahe toh hum unhe wapas bula le??

I tried moving but I was struck in between the pillar and him. He was not taking the name of moving and I was not able to move. One option left was to move out from down. I bent down and from the side came out in a jiffy. He was so busy thinking that I won't be able to attack that he never noticed that I was not there.

Kunwar pratap...

Ji

(looks to the pillar)

Kaha chali gayi hai yeh

Hum yaha hai

(he turns back)

Aap waha kaise??

Hum apke niche se hum yaha aa gaye

Kya??

Ji

Toh shuru kare??

Ji ji

I attacked again first. He defended. Now he attacked, to which I jumped just to lose balance and fall down. Because of the great fall my pagdi came off and was on the ground. My hairs were flying in the morning breeze over mine and his face. He took advantage and attacked. I couldn't escape the attack, my sword was down and he was declared as the winner by Amar who entered the scene when he attacked me.

Dhajiraj jith gaye

Dhajiraj ma saa se jith gaye

Ji Amar apke dhajiraj jith gaye pratisparda

Haan ma saa

Toh hum chalte hai mahel

Ji chaliye Ajabde

Lekin humara aur dhajiraj ka talwar baazi

Uske baad chalenge hum mahel mein.

I sat there wearing my pagdi whereas my two loves were fighting against each other, a friendly one.

Rosh,you again reminded me of 'symbol of love'.Not exactly the same but the concluding scene of symbol of love was similar to this. 😳Really nice!👏
