Is this the shortest published story ever?

And God said: DELETE line One to Aleph. LOAD. RUN.
And the Universe ceased to exist.
Then he pondered for a few aeons, sighed, and added: ERASE.
It never had existed.



We aspiring writers aspire to be succint and Arthur C Clarke's is only 31 words long! It was also written long before the idea of the Matrix etc. The man was a visionary scifi writer, who came up with the idea of the artifical satellite and without that idea we would have no GPS or all the other technologies that rely on bouncing signals off or from a satellite. Sadly the man died fairly recently in Sri Lanka where he had lived for a good part of his life.
