MONET AND SANCTUARY
My thoughts gallop one moment
Dives deep into silence the next
Desires to wipe a tear, conjure a smile
Withdraws and plummets at reticence it encounters
Life teaches me lessons, I am receptive to some reject
others
I embrace a few as my own, run away at the slightest fear of
being spurned
I look up to some as my own but when daggers drawn and forces summoned I slink
My heart is fragile and bared before a few
Mistaken intent its most deadly blow
Ammunition available in all lengths and hues
All homo sapiens blessed with tongues and vocal chords to
unleash a tirade
Pens and keyboards to shoot out at others
Restraint I need caution at all times
I am hurt and conscious not to hurt others
A smile I wear few notice the effort
Sweet venom others spew I'm armed with anti venom
A lotus of peace he reminds me of every minute
The spell I am under makes me desire
To embody the virtues I so admire
This too shall pass I whisper and move
Sob or sulk my heart out in the comfort of solitude
His and mine our secret abode our symphony
