Five years later:

Sanjana woke up and looked at the sun shining through the curtains. She looked around and found herself alone in the room as usual and sighed a little. How she wished to wake up and see him beside her! She sighed again and looked at the clock. It showed half past six and she knew that she can be in the bed till seven. She slowly adjusted her pillows and leaned back. Her mind went back to the day of her Shaadi with Ajay. The day everything had changed because of a single phone call.

Ajju?

Hello... Sanjana...

Ajju... why didn't you pick up your phone? I wanted to talk to you about something very important.

I... I was... uh... busy... uh... I want to talk to you too.

Yes, Ajju...

Uh... I... uh... have... uh... fallen in love... with... uh... another girl.

What?

Don't be mad at me Sanjana. I really didn't want to cheat you but, the truth is we were never in love and it was just an infatuation. And now that I am in love, I can see that we both did a mistake back then. Sorry, Sanjana... Please forgive me.

Well... I never thought of this.

Sanjana... please try to understand. If we marry we will only end up in spoiling our lives.

Sanjana remembered the hard time she had had in convincing Ajay. Ajay had simply refused to believe that Ajju broke up with her. She sighed again. It had never been easy to convince Ajay of anything.

Mumma...

Kalpi? When did you wake up?

Just now Mumma... Papa told me not to come here and wake you up but I ran away from him...

Good morning, Jaan... You are awake? Princess... I told you not to wake her up.

Ajay it's okay... I was up long before she came... Kalpi come here...

Ajay came near her and gave her a soft kiss.

Sorry, Jaan... I know you like to see me beside you when you wake up, but I didn't have the heart to wake my peacefully sleeping beauty.

Sanjana looked at his eyes and fell in love with him once again. She thought gratefully of Ajju who helped her convince Ajay. She didn't know what she would have done if Ajay had simply refused to believe her. She smiled at him.

It's okay Ajay... I know you love me and that's all that matters.

Ajay smiled at her and looked at her bulged stomach and kissed it.

And Good morning to you too my child... I am waiting to hold you in my hands... Princess... don't you want to wish the baby?

Of course, Papa... Good morning, little brother... I know you are a boy though Papa says you are a girl... But, I know best... And don't worry; I'll take good care of you...

And Kalpi bent down to kiss her Mumma's stomach. Sanjana looked at the two most precious treasures in her life and pulled them up into a hug. As she did every day, she closed her eyes and whispered a heartfelt thanks to God for letting love happen in her life. Ajay heard it and smiled and repeated the same prayer. They looked at each other and then at their daughter; they may not have had love at first sight, but love did happen to them in a most unexpected way. And it was a love that did not fade away but grew strong with each passing day. Together, they looked forward to a new day.

Okay so here it ends. I am so thankful to all the readers who commented and encouraged me to write more. And I would like to thank the silent readers also for liking my work.

This was actually started as an OS as you all know but turned into an SS on your requests. I really hope that I wrote well enough to meet your expectations.
