it pains me to say this, especially as this serial was one of the first that I signed on to IF for, I hated, literally hated today's episode. One the one hand Meera's rudeness knows no bounds and it truly grates on me so much that I am beginning to hate watching on the other we have a father who stands silently while his daughter is rude to him, his wife and to the elders of the family. It was left to Vidya to protect Gopi when Meera raised her hand to Gopi. He was nowhere near to stop her or rebuke Meera for what she did and he allowed her to continue to be rude to Gopi. After making those promises when her 'remarried' Gopi he has broken them already.
And Gopi, the stupid woman!😡 All she can say is that Meera is a child and should be forgiven. Lady, once your child becomes taller than you they do have some sense. Yes they need guidance but Meera needs something stronger. By excusing her acts of rudeness Gopi is giving her license to continue as she is. Meera is not a child but a young adult who has been spoilt by her father's impotence to impart any discipline save to glare at her and a family friend who covered up all of Meera's antics.

And we come to what is grating me more. Through all of Meera's taunts, rudeness and accusations, not once has Ahem confronted Meera and told her the real reason for her separation from the family. When she was a toddler and the circumstances then and then ten years previously when he separated the girls from their extended family due to his anger and ego. Why isn't he sitting her down calmly and explaining to her? Has he still got that hang up of not wanting Meera's anger towards Gopi to turn into love.

This storyline is tedious

Life in the Modi household seems to have come to a standstill because Princess Meera still does not know the "truth".

I'm beginning to think these people don't want to live a normal life without drama.

First Radha, then Kinjal, now Meera. This family's rather attached to psycho b*****s, aren't they? (My apologies, but I really couldn't think of another word). 🤔

Don't apologise. Sometimes I feel that the Modis think that it is their civic duty to let every waif and stray into their home, torture them with kalakaaries, abuse them and hurt them but they still come back for more instead of showing said person the door and telling them to do one. The biggest culprit is Gopi who lives in her land of everyone is good and that it is her mission to change them. Half the time she fails and ends up in tears.

If being tortured by her cousin and aunt, tortured by her husband, separated from her daughter for 8 years, being a single parent for 8 years, being tortured by her sister, killing her sister and spending 10 years in jail couldn't make Gopi a strong person, then I'm sorry to say there is no chance of this woman ever becoming a strong person.

People learn from their experiences. Gopi and Ahem don't learn anything.

Apparently Impotent Father and Blinkered Mother bring in TRPs. So why change?

Thanks for like the title. It is annoying the hell out of me that Ahem is always playing statues, hence nothing is done.

And to think even prison couldn't toughen this lady up.

Guys don't get me wrong but a mother has to know when to stand by her child and when she has to draw the line. Gopi bleating that Meera is a child, baa in tow too irks me. By chanting that mantra she is giving licence to Meera to continue her behaviour. She is equally blameworthy. Meera is a young adult, yet due to Ahem's failure as a parent and a role model she has been allowed to run riot. I'm sure he knew what Meera was up to in Mumbai but never had the balls to confront her.

If you remember even in prison she was on a mission to change the 'less fortunate'. When she left it was more like she was leaving an ashram and not a prison. Part of me wanted her to behave like Meg did in family guy. She got out of prison and asserted her dominance by thumping Peter, because he was top dog in the family.
