Once upon a time there was a plot of land about an hour and half's drive from Udaipur. It was secluded and had lush green surroundings.
Shiv bought this piece of land for his beloved wife Anandi.
Both decided to build the farmhouse as soon as possible.
While the farmhouse was under construction, a world renowned painter, Palash, came over. He was besotted with Anandi and wanted to paint her.
Shiv was excited. To him there was no better place than the farmhouse plot as a backdrop. He offered it to Palash.
Thus the farmhouse surroundings were captured by Palash on canvas with Anandi as his muse.
A year went by and the farmhouse was ready. Shiv and Anandi brought the whole family for the inauguration.
Everyone had a glorious day playing and relaxing.
These were happy times for the farmhouse.
Some months later the farmhouse became home to Khajan Singh, Anandi's father while he was recuperating.
The farmhouse became home to a member of the family. The only one who really used it.
Then Shiv's heard that Anoop was doing shady business using the farmhouse. He and Anandi. went there and requested Khajan Singh to keep a look-out.
The farmhouse became a place of intrigue.
Shiv died. There was sadness all around. Not many days had passed when Khajan accidently chanced upon a room in the farmhouse housing antiques. He reported this to Anandi.
Police raided the farmhouse and seized priceless statues and paintings.
A place so lovingly constructed now had sad and dark memories attached to it.
Then the Shekhars shifted to Singapore and Anandi to Jaitser with her son.
Grieving over the loss of her husband and abduction of her daughter, Anandi had no desire to keep the farmhouse. It brought back too many memories of Shiv. She decided to sell it.
The broker told her that it had been purchased by a landlord from a nearby village. He intended to rent it out for functions and marriage parties.
Anandi used the proceeds for a good cause. She eventually built Shiv Niketan.
Little did she know that the villager who purchased the farmhouse was from the nearby district of Jhalra and these days the farmhouse is hosting a marriage party.
It is being frequented by the very person who she is hunting with such determination, Akheraj. He can be found there taking care of his samdhis.
