Comedy Nights to take a one-year leap

Time leaps aren't just restricted to daily soaps. Changing the trend is the stand-up comedy show Comedy Nights with Kapil, which is all set to take a leap of one year.
The makers will introduce a few changes in the storyline and the set. While Dadi (Ali Asgar) will be suffering from acute memory loss, Bittu's wife Manju (Somona Chakravarti) will be a working woman and her siblings will stay with her in the same house. Bua (Upasna Singh) will win a lottery and will no longer be staying with Bittu.
"The leap is to bring freshness to the story. On the left side will be Gutthi's (Sunil Grover) parlour and the kitchen will make way for a tailor shop, which will be run by Palak or Pankhudi (both played by Kiku Sharda)," says a source. Creative director Preeti Simoes confirmed the news.
