Addicted to You
Preface
(Banner credits goes to "mints23")
High school is one of the best phases in everyone's life. It's the platform for learning, and for experiencing things from out of the box. Right from first crush to having your heart broken only to laugh at your own stupidity years later, it's full of memories. Apart from studying, of course, no one can ever forget the fun that tagged alongside - night outs with friends pretending to have a study session and teasing nerds and blaming others just to escape from being caught.
This has been the base for having this idea. And also, I've read many stories/novels and watched numerous movies having shy types/silent girls falling for famous boys or good girls for bad boys - one thing that I never truly understood. I never liked the way it has been portrayed in various settings. So, with this fiction, I wanted to try my own version of silent-famous couple in High School backdrop, who fell in love over the period and not instantly. Also, this FF will be having the span of about a decade or so - an attempt to showcase two different personalities of the same people who matured over period.
"Addicted to you", is a simple story with no external rivals or true villains. It is a story of two studious students and their struggle to keep the competition as sportive as they could as they're cocooned in an invisible crystal of first love, fights and heart breaks only to be met each other a decade later as an ambitious individuals who'd do anything in their might in order not to repeat their mistakes they did as teenagers.
The story, characters and the incidents are inspired by day-to-day experiences and any resemblances to anyone are wholly co-incidental as we might share the same experiences.
The title of the FF is inspired by the song of same name by Enrique Iglesias... an overview of how our male protagonist felt about his love interest.
I'm wasted away
I made a million mistakes
Am I too late? Oh yeah
There's a storm in my head
It rains on my bed
When you're not here, oh
I'm not afraid of dying
But I am afraid of losing you
