Avie , congrats on cracking this tough nut ! .. .. that was a good guess .. if I remember correctly , your very first debut riddle too was "sorting hat" & when we asked for a clue ( whether a thing or a being ) , you too were confused as to whether it was a thing or a being & I cracked the riddle .. 😳 .. damn it , how did I miss the clue this time .. 😆

Firecrabs or Firetail ( not sure of the name of the creature ) , Hagrid used it in his teaching class ( in third book ) & the students got burn marks after they were done with Hagrid's teaching session ..
