I have this guy friend, who has been my best friend for the past 4 years. He has somehow lost contact with most of his university friends after the college ended but fortunately we were in contact. One day suddenly, he blocked me on whatsapp and msging/calls etc. He has done this in the past a few times and has come back again always and got really irritated all the times that I asked him why he had blocked me or whether he had blocked me or not. So this time I decided to not make him angry and rile him up further by asking again if he has been actually angry on something. I know him and I know communicating about this will further worsen the situation. A few days back I emailed him asking about where he was and just a general email and he replied that he was busy somewhere and out of town and there are network issues so he would get back to me soon. Now what should I do next? Should I just hold on or let go of this? Ive always made an effort to make this friendship work because I also happen to like him more than a friend about which he has no idea as we never discussed this thing. Just laughed it off when people linked us up. This friendship is extremely precious for me but I am just tired of holding on, I sometimes have a thought that may be he doesn't want this friendship now that he's doing all this so I should let go. Atleast so that he can make an effort to amend things. If I am important to him, he would come back himself without me constantly trying to make contact. Could anyone please help me about what I should do in this situation?

The best thing you can do right now is take some time off .
You want to hold on but you feel that he doesnt deserve it because he makes no effort at all . So yeah take a break , have fun and dont think about this for a week . If he really is sincere and wants to be your friend he'll definitely get in touch .

In a Dil chahta movie, Akshay Khanna or someone gives good advice, if you try to hold sand with tight grasp which is true. Sometime people are unhappy in this they are doing and they just want to cut off with the rest of the people they know. Give him sometime or ask him if there is something thats going in his mind for sudden change in the behavior. I myself have deleted account so many time. Its help to think about things I am doing right or wrong.
But if you have feeling for that guy tell him, "kahin der na ho jaye"

thank you so much for your advice, I think what your saying might be true as he has done that in the past may be to get that me time to comtemplate and think but I don't want to annoy him or irk him up by asking what he's going through as i know it'll not bring a good reaction from him. I feel like telling him but since he's blocked me from all communication channels, I feel saying such a thing on email might be very abrupt and strange. 😕

You should always communicate through email but never express your feeling in the email. 😆Just ask him how he is doing, start a conversation first and see how it goes.

Try to get to know what he actually wants..
If he don't have time or don't want to be a friend for you just let him go..
I know it hurts..but you should let him go if he is not willing..
The same thing happened with me 3 months back..😭

I would suggest you to let it go, his behaviour is very unusual and uncommon. Don't waste your time anymore and move on in life.

Thanks a lot for your advice, Its so weird how he's doing all this and not giving a proper explanation or closure even. Ive always understood him, why would I not this time around? :/ and your right, it's just a weird position to be at. I hope you're going to fine really soon. :)

Thank you so much, I'll try my best to do that although it's very tough. I wonder what could have brought this behavior change in him.

Sorry to butt in mysterygirl_me ,

but I totally agree with the above comment. I suggest you to let it go. This guy does not seem genuine. Its seems like you are the only one wanting to continue this friendship. He blocked you multiple times and eefused to give an explanation for that. I rhink you should not contact him this time, if he really want this relationship/ friendship to work then he will call you. If not then forget him. You pls try to move on in your life, you deserves to be happy and loved.
