Saif, Vidyut and Kangana confirmed for Sujoy Ghosh's next

Mirror had earlier reported that Saif Ali Khan had agreed to play the lead in Sujoy Ghosh's official cinematic adaptation of the Japanese novel, The Devotion of Suspect X. He plays a mathematics professor who helps his neighbour who is accused of murdering her husband. 

Buzz is, the film does not have a romantic track, instead the two characters share a tense and uncomfortable equation. Together they try to throw off the cop who's in hot pursuit. 

Contrary to rumours, the cop is not being played by the Khubsoorat Pakistani actor Fawad Khan but Vidyut Jammwal. 

The grapevine suggests that Kangana Ranaut who was approached by Sujoy with the script despite the fact that she opted out of his Durga Rani Singh (Mirror, January 30), has given her nod to play the female protagonist. 

Saif and Kangana were earlier to play the lead pair in Reema Kagti's Mr Chaalu but Saif dropped out over remuneration issues. Without a leading man, the makers had to delay the film. Kangana who didn't like her dates getting wasted has stepped out of the film too and could pair up with Saif in Suspect X, which will be shot in Kalimpong, West Bengal.
