Aaliya and Aaru, I think it is more to do with her mother's words on true love and fire flies. When she sees Dhruv with that picture guitar cover, she was reminded of the guy who helped her save the jar of fire flies and they glowed right after that. She wanted to see if Dhruv was that guy and hence went to check on the fire flies to see if they were glowing but they didn't. They glowed only when Manik was around but she did not notice it (episode 21). He said they can only be partners and not friends and they glowed. How prophetic. Yes, they are on their way to becoming life partners. The reason why I am linking it to the guitar cover is later (don't remember the episode) she sees that Manik's guitar cover is also similar to the one she had seen on the highway and she wonders whether it was Manik and not Dhruv on that day but then dismisses it saying he would never help anyone. So more than attraction for Dhruv, the fireflies scenes show how much faith she had in her mother's words and seemed to unconsciously searching for that guy she met on the highway who was the first one to get them to glow.
