Watched it tonight on the big screen and reallly liked it! I'd give it a 3.75/5 or even a 4/5. At this point I can't decide if I liked Holiday better or Baby.

Will definitely try to post a more detailed review tomorrow.

Saw Baby yesterday! One of Akshay's finest performances. Loved the slight infuse of comedy in the otherwise tough demeanor of Ajay😆. Akki rocked it!!👏👏 A very gripping screenplay,fabulous performances by the entire cast,crisp editing and overall definitely a one time watch ⭐️

Baby has struggled at the box office on day one with collections likely to come in at around the 7.50 crore nett mark. The film has come out a bit better than what it looked like in the morning but there has not been that major leap in business that could have taken it to the 9-10 crore nett range.

The mass circuits have performed very badly with Rajasthan collecting only 38 lakhs nett which is less than what Tevar collected a two weeks back and one of the lowest openings of an Akshay Kumar starrer in Rajasthan. Its a similar story in UP, CPCI and Bihar.

The multiplexes of Mumbai, Delhi, Punjab and Bangalore are better as these areas have seen growth. This sort of opening number for a 75 crore plus film would normally mean curtains but Baby has that big holiday on Monday. So big 30% plus growth on Saturday and Sunday and then a repeat of Sunday on Monday will give the film a chance despite this low start.

2ND DAY EARLY TRENDS AND 1ST DAY BOX OFFICE COLLECTION OF BABY

2015 will see first big release in form of Akshay Kumar starrer ''Baby''. Sonam Kapoor starrer ''Dolly Ki Doli'' will also try to en-cash Republic Day holiday aided weekend.

Baby'' has got some rare glowing reviews and that is why film has opened to solid occupancy in metros and urban multiplexes. But due to title and urban look, film is rather slow in Gujarat, Bihar, CI and UP. Film was slow to start on Friday morning which is the case with most of the releases these days.

Film never grew beyond a level in smaller towns and only metros contributed to major chunk of collection. Film collected 9.30 cr nett on day one as per producers T Series and that is just average total. Film has taken a superb start on day two and it seems that good jump on the card.

Film should jump big today in the region of 25-30 % easily as there is extended holiday weekend. As per early trends, film should touch 12.50-13 cr nett today and that will put it on the way to a great weekend.
