Shakti who has been around for 7 years beginning with Ba Bahoo admits, it has taken some time for his show to pick up steam, "after a slow start, it is now at number 8 on the top ten show list. I guess the viewers don't warm up to weaker characters; they want their hero to be larger than life. Over time my character has picked up strength and his now is holding his own. He has gone through three distinct phases in the narrative till now, first where he was poor, second when he become rich and now where he hates his childhood love .We also added more romance and worked on my look as well . "
So was this change brought up to meet the audience requirements? "No we the story line was always such that he will assert himself over period of time and we have just done just that."
So would you want to be a bad boy in real life? "No I am very good boy. I think the only bad quality I have is of laziness. Had I tried the same stunt in real life what Ranveer does on screen, I would have beaten badly." he laughs.
