Heyy Mina di! Even I was confused in the beginning! But then I think he calls her fuggy owing to how chubby she was in her childhood! Fugga literally means a balloon! So yeah this could be a reason why he gave her the name 😆

I like Fuggy better than Chashmish because it is way less derogatory if I think of it (having said that Abhi makes Chashmish sound very cute as well).
Fuggy is not Fugly at all, because-

Abhi mentioned clearly to Pragya that she was chubby in her childhood showing a pic as well.

He mentioned he would even like himself as Fuggi the rockstar except that it's feminine for him.

He explained to RaBul Fuggi is the female gender for Fugga (which means inflated/balloon in various Indian languages).

Although Fuggy itself does not sound as cute as Chashmish as of now, I like the context of it where Abhi had thought so much to come up with this name, did some research to find her childhood pic and had the name ready even before she finished her proposal challenge.

Of course it is to annoy Pragya, but then, it's in a really cute, adorable way. So Yey for it. Pragya will love it eventually, because it has this cute factor to it.

Fuggy is a female version of a balloon. I suspect Abhi found her chubby cheeks very cute as a child and came up with that name and if he can use it to irritate her at the same time, it's the perfect name.

Fuggy fits the bill though jarring at first, he made the effort to come up with a name that noone could have thought of, his pet name for her!

I love the name, Pragya need to like it though 😆

But to me the first thought was that he called her a balloon. In Gujarati, fugga means a balloon so I thought he was feminizing the word to fuggi. I just thought ki someone on the writing team is Gujarati :D

My thoughts exactly...as I thought the same...that someone in the CV team is Gujarati and thus the feminine term Fuggi/Fuggy meaning cute fat...chubby baby.😆😆😆 Thus liked the name...😆😆

Hi every one..I'm so in love with chashmish ..and I do not think I will stop missing it..but I'm like this in everything... when I get used to anything it is difficult for me to replace it even if the substitute is better... Tannu using chashmish is the only reason make changing it acceptable for me .

Fuggy ..I can not say I hate it as Abhi has a way to make you love all crazy things he say or do ..so it sounds cute and I'm ready to give it a chance
the meaning of Fuggy .well I think it is supposed to be a Hindi word so I will accept the meaning given by Indian girls here.. I mean Balloon as in chubby like a balloon ..although I wanna share something interesting with you ..I'm a native Arabic and if I consider Fuggy as an Arabic word the nearest thing to it is " Fuggaa" the first A sound like " aaa" but the second A is not an A in Arabic it has a different sound but I do not think any other language have it ..( if you are familiar with the Arabic name Ali... it has the same pronunciation)... any way " Fuggaa" in Arabic mean bubble like in air- bubble ..which I think so similar to Balloon and can give the same effect ...do not you think

Nuha, It's probably the same word Fugga in hindi as well as you have mentioned in Arabic. Pugga/Pugge in some south Indian languages also means balloon as well as a bubble (anything inflated).
