The story centres around the journey and conflicts in the life of the lead protagonist Sandhya (Sreevani), the daughter of Asst. Commissioner of Police, Vijaykumar (Ajay Ratnam). She is very clear that she will not marry a cop in her life, as she herself has suffered as a result of being the daughter of a police officer. But destiny clearly has other plans for her, as she falls in love with an ordinary constable Murugan (Sridhar). Her troubled married life and the problems the two families face forms the crux of the story.
