Can someone PLEASE tell me where saif said anything about him doing art movies?
Classic case of a tirade of comments and people passing options WITHOUT EVEN KNOW what is being said.

Come on now. I just posted the original quote.
Can someone enlighten me what's going on?

Here's the original interview.
Even this paragraph has a context, but even without it, I don't see him making any erroneous observations.
All he said, was when the interview went towards big stars doing the same masala entreatment was Saif DEFENDING the Khans saying they have to keep up their image and do these kidna films, coz the audience would be disappointed to see them doing art films. Like most people were "disappointed" with Aamir in Talaash, coz it wasn't their typical entertaining movie.

"Playing safe

Where top-wrung A-listers like SRK and Salman have been inclined towards doing commercially viable cinema verging on eternal sameness, Saif points out that not being in the same league as them gives him an advantage. He explains, "I think with the really big stars a sort of Tom Cruise trap comes into play. They're big and therefore need to do certain things to live up to that stature. Also, the audience really does have a choice here. I think most people would actually be disappointed if they had to watch Shah Rukh or Salman in a movie like The Lunchbox. But they'll be able to see me in a movie like that. They already have, in fact. I'll do a Go Goa Gone or an Omkara and it is in my nature to do a Being Cyrus. Even Happy Ending is a good start and the films I'm looking at doing now are all going to be good films, even if they don't make it to the hundred crore club. I want to be part of a film that is a commercial success as well as good cinema.""

I dont get why commercial movies get so much hate in BW . Even in HW a transformers or an avengers collects 5 times more than an art movie

This quote is from BEFORE the film's release.

I envy Kareena somewhat.. she found the man of her dreams and is married to him. I don't care about privilege and money so much, she's fortunate to have been able to marry the guy of her dreams.
That's something I'll never have

haha
