Not only in tamil nadu in karnataka also they hve oil bath on diwali every1 will hve.. But newly married couple they do sum rituals

even marathi's have this ritual...on the day before lakshmi puja...n its not erotic...there is a story behind it

It mostly happens in our South Indian houses but they differ some what like in tamilians they have shown the oil bath I mean applying all over body but in the 2 Telugu states Telangana and Andhra Pradesh it happens in a different way that they will apply castor seed oil or else coconut oil both on the hair and in ears and the every member of the house is given aarthi and aarthi later shown to the cow etc ., It may be quite surprising to u people but I jz enjoy all these rituals in my place 😊
