Tabu was the lead in Haider. Her role was almost as big as Shahid. So, I don't see how everyone has her as the best supporting actresse. Shraddha certainly wasn't the lead with her 15 min. role.

Haider was about Haider. The story and narrations makes the central character Haider and his mother being the chief supporting/first element of the story. Thus Shahid Kapoor is the only lead of Haider whereas Tabu and KK were the prime supporting actors. As far as Shradha Kapoor's character (Arshi) is concerned it is a second degree supporting character.

Sometimes, it becomes hard to differentiate between two prominent supporting individuals in a movie. When you are selecting someone for acting category, it can be anyone who has performed brilliantly in the movie and there are many examples of that.

2002: Madhuri Dixit and Kirron Kher for Devdas; both were nominated and both were supporting.

2004: Rani Mukherji and Divya Dutta for Veer Zaara; both were nominated and prominent value in the film were different. Divya Dutta was noticed because of her acting despite being the third degree supporting character.

2004: Rani Mukherji and Kareena Kapoor for Yuva: They both were nominated for Best Supporting Actress, this doesnt make Esha Deol a lead. All three were supporting characters.

2006: Soha Ali Khan and Kirron Kher for Rang De Basanti. The film was about a group and soha being part of it was the part of the narration but kirron kher was there only for 3 scenes, she stills get noticed and appreciated.

2010: Kajol and Kareena Kapoor for We are Family: They both were equally written and Kareena Kapoor actually had more screen space than Kajol but she was nominated in Best supporting actress because her character was not primary part of the narration.

It is criminal to not give aamir award for best actor... he acted much better than any of the actors this year..

FF award lost a lot of credibility when they gave SRK the award instead of salman khan in 2010..I haven't watched any of them ever since.. Let's hope they do the right thing and give Aamir the award this time around..

I too feel Shahid Kapoor truly deserves it for Haider! He had done a great job!

But I don't want Kangana to win Best Actress although there is 80% chance she will.

I think Alia Bhatt had done a good job in Highway and 2 States and she should bag it!

And director should go to Vishal Bharadwaj or Imtiaz Ali !

Best Film - PK was not as good as it should have been. I want Highway/Haider to win it.

I did not like Queen at all..🤢

I don't understand why bollywood STILL does not have a legit ONE or TWO award ceremonies where they actually give it to the deserving people. Like the Academy Awards (Oscars) and the Golden Globe. And one for television.

There are SOOO many award functions these days, it seems like mushrooms sprouting from everywhere. Which one to take seriously and which not? Plus, it's always the stars that show up, or dance or host who end up getting all the awards. Case in point--> SRK. He was good at one point, but come'on, not ALL the years.

Filmfare has the potential to be the legit award show for bollywood, if it wasn't so BIASED!
