There is no doubt that Sanyu's father is a very good father!! 😊 (Unfortunately, I can't say that her brother is a good one!😕). Sanyu's father really loves her a lot, and has always regarded her as a princess. He wants the best for her and he wants her to be happy.

The problem with him is that his definition of happiness is different from that of Sanyu's. He's trying to bring what he thinks is happiness, into her life, but Sanyu's aspirations are different. She will be happy only if she's allowed to be an engineer.

But Sanyu's dad fears the society. He's worried that his daughter's life after marriage will be hell if she is allowed to study. So he tries to stop her, which is not wrong from his POV!

her father does care about her undoubtedly! he should be made to realize the importance of her dreams!
her brother is a useless person though!

From the way I see it, people have different opinions and beliefs.
Her father never respected her choice of career and expected her to get married and live a happy married life while fulfilling her duties. But, despite that, can you blame him? Our society has been raising people with such thoughts and it isn't surprising that a man of his age would have such ideals. Even today parents have certain expectations of their kids becoming a doctor, engineer etc.
However, whatever his ideals, from the heart he has wanted his daughter to lead a happy life. And he strongly believes that will only occur if she gets married.
So no, I don't think he is a bad father per say...perhaps as a man, a very narrow minded person.

Well, I don't think he is the kind of father that any strong minded girl would like to have. From bird's eye point of view, he really doesn't give a damn about the women in his family. All he is thinking about is his reputation and what the world will think of him. Otherwise, how would he choose a guy like Sameer for his daughter? Sanyu's dad only saw his family background which is important for his own reputation.
A father who really wishes well for their children will always bother to know what make them happy. But he is always the other way around. Also, as a daughter, I would never respect my father if he is not treating my mother properly. Sanyu's dad is always at his worst behavior when is comes to his wife.

Sanyu calls Randhir MCP. But it is high time for her to realize that her own father and brother are the biggest MCP's one can ever encounter.

yes maybe sanyu's father luv her vry much but dats sumthging not new right! every father luves her daughter immensly..! the point is not about how much he luves sanyu, d point is he does not realize her daughter's happiness...! more dan dat hes worried about his reputation..! i mean c'mon how can education spoil someones lyf..! her fayther is also an educated man i suppose...so how can they show his character so dumb who thinks dat edu. can spoil his daughters lyf..??😕 ok he wants her to get married...but sanyu is just 20 now so its not lyk dat after few yrs she wont b eligible for marriage!! till d tym her clg will also b finished!! but no hes hell bent on spoiling his daughters lyf..!randhir somewat said right dat day...hes ready to sacrifice his daughters lyf for his reputation..!didnt u see dat day wen sameers family got 2 noe bout sanyus engg , how her father was worried bout dat all d cards r distributed n he will have to face insult...not once he was worried bout his daughter!! n dat day wen sanyu helped him by makin d model for his factory how he shouted on her...it was more lyk his male ego is hurt dat his daughter helped him...! such an MCP ! i mean for a daughter lyk sanyu a father can do anything n here hes jst hellbent on spoiling her lyf..! infact i m sumtymes frustrated with sanyu . her char is sumtymes of a hypocrite...! she hates MCP but does not fight with her parents for her rights wich she vry well deserves..!
its high tym she shud stop giving into her parents stupid demands...! jst bcuz dey r parents, dont justify their every action..!
the show is really far behind from its tagline..!

Yup I do agree with you but on certain points only.I was pretty surprised to know that Sanyukta's father had named their cycle unit after her..He is not a bad father in totality. He loves his daughter a lot provided his social status remains unharmed by his daughter's 'antics'.He cares for her but his ways of thinking are not right. But he still believes that a daughter is a burden (if someone remembers what he told one of his friends at the party in the very first episode) ,he is ready to give dowry,he asks her to dream of 'ladkiwale sapne'.For him, getting the daughter married is the happiness of his life.He believes that girls are meant for the kitchen.Yes,he might care for her but I absolutely hated the way he burnt her engineering books. In the 21st century when the society is changing and educating the girl child is a major part of it,this kind of attitude can never be supported..This guy is so much worried about his social status that the day Sanyukta chooses her dreams over him,he might be the biggest obstacle in her life.
