Meet the new age 'Lakhan' - Arjun Kapoor!

Arjun Kapoor has been grinning from ear to ear, and that's certainly not because of close friend Alia Bhatt's 'Genius of the Year' mockumentary winning praise universally. If sources are to be believed, the bloke is set
to reprise the role of Lakhan in Karan Johar and Rohit Shetty's 'Ram Lakhan'.
The makers have finalized him and asked to allocate dates for the film immediately. He apparently sent a text message to his chachu Anil Kapoor just minutes after bagging the role. However, the hunt for Ram is still on. Karan Johar is keen to sign on SOTY star Varun Dhawan but he is yet to arrive at a decision.
Speculation was also rife that Rohit Shetty had approached Ranbir Kapoor for the role, but Ranbir's team pooh-poohed the development saying they're working on a different project altogether.

so many names r flying around for this movie, ranbir, ranveer, arjun, varun sid. None of them hav been confirmed.

I don't think RK will do the movie..If he plays Lakhan, no other hero except the Khans(and other oldies) will be apt to/want to play the older bro! And he wouldn't want to play Ram coz Lakhan is the meatier role!

(After KWK, it'll be weird to not see Arjun in the role-hope he gets it and hopefully he loses weight)

Thank god..I hope this is confirmed soon..I don want Ranbir in this film.. On that note, will Varun agree to play second fiddle to Arjun ? The best combination they can go for is Ranveer-Arjun..

Arjun is bad in comedy. Lakhan was fun character. Arjun suits dark/serious roles only. not so excited. 🥱

Wheres roya she didnt want him in it ..but hes better suited in jackies role as it more calm and serious, whereas e varun be good as lakkan as he knows dancing and energetic but seems casting is still in the air!!

Article says Arjun is finalized as "lakhan" and Kjo wants to sign Varun. as "Ram" ? that doesn't make sense lolz...should be other way round. oh well , let's see, this Ram Lakhan casting articles reminds me of "Shuddhi" casting articles lolz.

I think they should rope in a senior actor to play Arjun's brother. Varun looks younger.
