Diya Aur Baati Hum Written Update 4th August 2014

Meenakshi comes out of her room with the torch which has the money.  She needs to go out of the house and keep the torch in front of Hanuman statue near their house.  She gets jalebi smells and sees SurYa preparing jalebi.  She is hiding behind a pillar and wondering when they will go to their room.  Emily also comes out of her room and wants to know who is the blackmailer by following Meena.  She stops in the stairs watching why Meena is hiding.  She then goes to balcony and sees in the direction Meena is seeing and gets to know that SurYa are in the kitchen.  SurYa are feeding jalebis to each other when they hear some sound and think someone might come there, so they take the jalebis and go to their room.  Sandhya tells him she will clean the kitchen in the morning.

Meena comes out of the house and goes to the Hanuman statue and keeps the torch in front of it.  She wants to hide and watch who is the blackmailer, so she hides nearby.  Emily also comes out with a torch in her hand and comes near the Hanuman statue and wonders where Meena had gone.  Meena catches Emily red-handed thinking her to be the blackmailer.  Emily tries to tell her but Meena does not stop blabbering how could she blackmail her own cosister, etc.  They are away from the statue and some lady takes the torch from there.  Meena is nonstop blabbering and takes the torch from Emily's hand and opens it to take the money but the torch has cells and no money.  She is shocked and they come to the Hanuman statue again and do not find the torch which Meena had kept.  Meena reveals it had 15,000 rupees and Emily is shocked.  Emily confesses that she was writing those slips earlier as she came to know about Meena's hand in beauty parlor shutdown but after that, when Mohit returned home from police station, she realized her mistake and stopped it.  Meena wonders how she got to know about beauty parlor truth and Emily reveals Lachman Prasad told her.  Meena has the flashback she was blurting out the truth herself and then finds Lachman standing behind her.  Meena understands someone has benefitted in her and Emily's fight.  Emily comforts Meena and says she need not give into the blackmailer's demands as the truth is now out and Meena is guilty.  She assures from Emily whether beauty parlor issue was the secret she had mentioned in the slip and Emily asks whether she has any other secrets too.  Meena tells no and is relieved that no one knows about baby swap.

In Chavvi's house, Dilip is getting ready to go for his colleague's marriage.  He asks Chavvi to join if she wishes but if his mother agrees.  Chavvi speaks sweetly and says she will immediately ask permission and asks her mother-in-law who is still angry with her and does not speak.  Chavvi asks shall she go but her mother-in-law is quiet and she again tells she will not go and her mother-in-law again remains silent.  Chavvi tells Dilip that her mother-in-law did not agree so he can attend the marriage alone.  Her mother-in-law gets angry and asks did she decline and tells if Dilip wishes to take her, he can but Chavvi needs to finish all the house work and Chavvi again speaks sweetly that she was going to finish all the housework.

In the morning, Sandhya and Bhabho are ready to go to the court.  Bhabho prays to God and calls out Suraj and Bhabhasa to reach the court soon in scooter.  BhaSan get a rickshaw and go.  A lady with a water pot is speaking to another one near a vegetable cart.  Her husband comes there angrily and scolds her for gossiping there while he was waiting for tea.  The fight turns intensive with the lady scolding her in-laws and the man getting angry.  Suraj and Bhabhasa standing near their scooter are also watching it.  Sandhya's rickshaw has stopped because of this fight.  The man goes to beat his wife and Sandhya goes to stop him and drops the file down.  The lady just then drops the water pot on the file thus drenching the documents.  Rathi members are shocked and Sandhya tries to take the documents but it is completely ruined.  She is tearful seeing this.  Bhabho asks Sandhya to go and get another letter from the property tax office but Sandhya reveals that the officer is out of town.  Suraj is shocked seeing this and calls Bhabhasa who is staring at something.  Suraj turns and sees the man and lady who were fighting were getting money from Kavitha for their act and Kavitha also sees Suraj and smiles evilly.

Precap:  Kavitha is insulting SurYa.  She tells Sandhya to release her husband from the pallu and let him be a man.  She asks Suraj why is he fearful, does he fear that Sandhya will also leave him like her.  Sandhya shouts at Kavitha.
