Scissor me not?

After the highly debated film censorship, it's now TV content which is the hot target of snipping fingers!

Post the 7/11 blasts there were debates about news channels flashing gory photographs of the victims. Talking about the daily sagas - be it the rape sequence in Kyunki Saas Bhi Bahu Thi, or the multiple-extra marital affairs in almost all shows, the cozy scenes in Viraasat and Kasamh Se and the violence depicted in, believe it or not, cartoon channels…..all this and much more has come under scrutiny!

A recent censorship order was passed by the Bombay High Court blanking out 'A' and 'U/A' content aired on TV. Do we really need a regulatory body which will decide what we watch at home, sitting as couch fries?

Everything is made for a certain age group. It's an individual decision to let their children watch what they want to. Banning all channels is certainly not a solution. In my opinion nothing should be banned, as nothing comes across as being vulgar! It's the family who should decide and take sensible actions.
