It's rare for two Bollywood actresses to be friends. This is what makes the friendship of Sonam Kapoor and Jacqueline Fernandez so special.

Sonam and Jacqueline have been friends for three years, dismissing the belief that two contemporary actors cannot be friends.

But now they face each other in a strange kind of face-off.

While Jackie will be seen with Salman Khan in her next release 'Kick', Sonam stars with him in Sooraj Barjatya's next.

The former Miss Sri Lanka, Jacqueline, was linked with director Sajid Khan but had to eventually dump him (thanks to his high-handedness).

Though she missed out on 'Kkrish 3', she sprung back enthralling everyone with 'Murder 2' and then bagging 'Kick' opposite Salman Khan.

The 'Dabbang' star has been impressed with his new co-star and proclaimed her as the new Zeenat Aman of Bollywood. He went on to say that only Jackie could be compared to the legendary Indian beauty.

Salman's comment at a 'Kick' event was so ticklish and flattering that Jacqueline preferred to hide behind director Sajid Nadiadwala as she blushed away to glory.

Jackie managed to get the kind of compliment that no other Salman heroine ever received.

Incidentally Salman has neither complimented former girlfiend Katrina Kaif so much nor did he ever make any such flattering comment about the beautiful Aishwarya Rai.

Facing up to Jacqueline in the meantime is good friend Sonam Kapoor who managed to bag the film 'Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo' because of nepotism.

Sonam Kapoor's father Anil Kapoor who has been Salman Khan's co-star in films like 'No Entry' asked Salman to put in a word to the Barjatyas to win the role opposite him.

Sonam is already working in Salman's brother Arbaaz Khan's film 'Dolly Ki Doli' which she had signed on at the request of Salman Khan.

And now her father asked Salman Khan to put in a word to the people who launched him in the first place in films like 'Biwi Ho To Aisi', 'Maine Pyaar Kiya', 'Hum Aapke Hain Kaun' and 'Hum Saath Saath Hain'.

Since Sonam's performance in Dilly Ki Doli' has been appreciated, Salman had no objection recommending Sonam to be the next Barjatya heroine.

It can be recalled that Sonam had made her debut in 'Saawariya' and Salman had done a guest appearance opposite her.

Prem Ratan Dhan earlier saw names like Deepika Padukone, Anushka Sharma and Nargis Fakhri being considered for the lead role, but the role went to Sonam who has to now lose around eight kilograms weight that she has put on to play her character in the Arbaaz production.

And now Sonam will gather enough guts to challenge Jacqueline and win a few praises for herself.

I doubt Sonam wants Salman as anything more than a co star, and aren't Jacky and her friends? I can't wait to see the Kick promotions, Salman has chemistry with Jacky that he hasn't had with anyone since Karishma.
