Poem - Most Loveable Saas & Bahu

I'd like to dedicate this to my own Mother-in-law, my amma. Sometimes I feel she loves me more than my own ammi. Please say a silent prayer for my amma, for she has been called by the almighty. But we are not ready to let her go.

At first I thought its gonna be the same

Saas and Bahu that's gonna be so lame

Tried and tested hate and mellow drama

Boy was I in for a surprise just like Astha

Today hands down the most loveable Saas and Bahu

Things weren't so rosy when the show got shuru

Things started to unravel dheere dheere

Now they are inseparable like pallu to a saree

She's the only one who knows her bitter life

Trying her best to get her the rights of a wife

Showing her self worth and willing her to fight

Telling her it's ok to dream of a life that's bright

She prays silently for her children to be happy always

Her love for them hidden like the sun on rainy days

It's a pity no one else has seen her tender side

Masked with cold, bitter and strict family creed

Seeing them daily makes me miss my own Saas

The most loveable Saas-Bahu with so much class

When they hugged and smiled we felt their bliss

When they cry in pain our hearts sink into an abyss

Hope for a better tomorrow keeps them going

Seeing their heartwarming bond makes us doting

You have taken Saas bahu to a whole new level

Watching them daily gives us an emotional revel
