"Selfishness is not living as one wishes to live, it is asking others to live as one wishes to live."
Oscar Wilde What a brilliant way to describe one's feelings and behaviour. After watching the show today one thing comes to mind is what exactly does Rudra want? Does he want Paro to say that mother doesn't matter? does he want dad to kick mom out? does he want to scream and shout(oh wait he did that). What does he want?
When Paro looked at the mangalsutra I knew he wasn't going to give it to her and I didn't wanted him to either given he is all over the place right now but I wasn't expecting him to retort the way he did. He actually said that I would have given it to you but you brought the woman who left him? I am sorry but that is such a cruel thing to say. Good thing he is fictitious because I cannot imagine anyone in reality wanting to put up with THAT!!!! To put conditions on your love is something I will never approve not for Paro or for Rudra so not being biased.
I completely understand mom's arrival has put him in a trance where he obviously isn't thinking straight or otherwise and that would have been all right had he been a simple worker like that other brother Samrat or even a meek guy like Danveer. He knows he loves Paro after the long speech he prepared but never gave so why the condition? so if she hadn't spoken to mom and just stood by his side then he would have given her the chain? I am glad he hasn't in that case.
Now Laila is in the picture too so I guess one of two things may happen. One she gets hold of the said mangalsutra and wears or plans something with it or he continues to stay angry at Paro and nothing happens to the mangalsutra. Either way Paro isn't going to get the thing for sure. If Laila does get it and then tries to create more rift will that mean Rudra will pacify Paro now? I would like to see that just so I can see more of the main characters.
I don't understand what does he want Paro to do? Just stand next to him and pacify him like one does to a child or a pet? she is her own person with her own thoughts. Love does not mean one has to blindly agree with what the other says, love is selfless and pure. It means to love a person with the differences and ideology. We cannot say anymore that Rudra doesn't believe in love because he did say in his speech to Paro that he does love her. It is kind of on backburner right now with the other issues going on but he needs to know that you cannot put conditions on love, I guess Paro can teach him that.
What Laila is going to do now? I have to admire her drive though...8 years of course doesn't mean forever but she is going to get her pound of flesh by hook or crook. I would have loved if she would have been given a closure but she didn't get that and now she pops up like a bad pimple on an important day.
Not sure what next week is going to be like but I would love to see some character growth in both Rudra and Paro. She needs to stop with the pacifying and he needs to stop with the Grinch act. Both is getting annoying now.
These are my views and am not expecting everyone to agree with it. I always welcome healthy discussions so looking forward to it.

I agree with the fact that both need to grow up paro has to become less pushy and rudra has to become less agressive

I don't think Paro is pushing to be honest, infact today she left him be which was great because that obviously made him think or atleast he looked like he was? But some character growth for both is badly needed...how the twat is going to handle that, that is a $1000 question isn't it? Mala saga is still going and no one knows what Laila is going to do to this hotch podge?

Hi,

Awesome post. Thank you for that. Have highlighted parts i liked the most.

Cvs made one thing clear this whole week. ( maa track). That there is no such thing as unconditional love or if even if its there Paro , Rudra and the others have not reached that stage where they love unconditionally.

I agree .

Rudra is in love with Paro -yes..he confessed his love to us not to paro (yet). but my question is, can we accept his love as unconditional l,selfless love.??? No when you love someone unconditionally, you dont expect the person to support you blindly. N thats what rudra is expecting paro to do.. Did he even for a moment stop to think from Paro's pov.??? No he did not. Oh i know he is hurting at the moment but the way he grabbed the mangalsutra and the words he hurled at her.😕Don't think
Paro deserves that.!!!

And mala,

Okay, i thought it would be better to wait for her story to unfold before i judge her. I am not going to talk abt her relationship with rudra and dilsher but i was so mad at Paro and mala( not yesterday but n wednesday episode) the last kitchen scene between mala and paro. When paro said, 'you are a good mother. I know you poured your love on me because your son wasn't there and mala did not not deny it. I was. Like what the hell.. It sounded so selfish to me. It felt as if she used the orphan paro as a substitute.let's say ( for arguments sake) she managed to bring rudra with her when she left haveli, do you think she would had have cared for paro like she did for the past 15 years???? Selfish love again?????

Paro-- is walking on a thin line here. Caught between her husband and mala. Support husband ...hurt mala or support mala, hurt husband???? Sighhh

--kate--

P/s not sure if my post makes sense. Am sleep deprived at. The moment. But had to write what i felt aftr watching the episode.😕

Hi Kate,
Thank you so much for this awesome description. Exactly how I feel that Paro is walking on thin line and I don't like it..nobody has to be on thin line neither Rudra nor Paro.
About the Wednesday scene I found mala to be clueless and that's how she is coming across to me this whole saga. I have said this before but it seems as if she just thought all will be well? why? I want to know the answers and that's why I think Rudra should listen because otherwise no one is going to find out the reasons. I don't think Mala has selfless love for anyone in this series...not for her hubby, kid her second hubby or Paro. I am not going to judge her because her story is still incomplete but boy what I want to know is why did she left the kid alone? leaving husband is not a huge deal for me that I can work on but abandoning a child she better have a very good reason.
@bold: I totally agree. Now imagine if it went into Laila's hand and Paro found out? then what? do we get an apology or not?
Love what you wrote and thanks for your input it really was refreshing.

Lovely post.
I found that statement of Rudra a very cruel and insensitive thing to say to someone you claim to love. He is unable to see beyond his own pain and grief at this point. And his love is conditional, as long as Paro agrees with everything he says.
But I am glad Paro just left and gave him his space. She understands him and his need to come out on his own. She understands that he is saying this out of anger.
Paro has made so many attempts to understand Rudra and has forgiven him so many times.
It is time he makes some attempt\ to understand how she is getting pressed from all sides and still managing to keep a smile on her face.

That's what I don't like that if Paro agrees then she loves him but if she doesn't then she doesn't love him? that is childish. I find Rudra to be very one dimensional...its his way or highway all the time and that is not right. He wanted Paro to admit that she was in cahoots with Tejawat and didn't wanted to even contemplate another possibility and even now all she wanted was for him to listen to his mom...had she said that forgive the mother than that's wrong but she never said that.
@bold : I want to see that too...its all about him, his pain, his difficulty, his issues, his mother I want Paro to be a part of this too. What about her pain, her difficulty and her issues? It would be so hard for an uneducated girl to handle everyone in the house...kudos to her I say.

Exactly V , I did not like his dialogue yesterday , it was extremely childish and selfish !!
