Just saw an article on Shivin and how he gifted his first salary to his parents!!! That was so sweet of him indeed!!! I know many of us would have been fortunate to do so!!!
Then something clicked in my mind...!!! Obviously BALDEV!!!
Baldev's first salary or I must say salaries was dedicated to Veera!!! How lucky is she!!! Baldev did earn his first so called salary from the film crew who visited Preetampura!!! Baldev wholeheartedly bought a tool box gift for Veera!!! There was only one name in his mind when he got his first earning - VEERA!!! He even scolded his best buddies who wanted to party with that!!!
Then the second time around Baldev was on an earning spree to complete Veera's challenge of earning 100rs. He earned 300rs and gave 100rs to Veera to fulfill the challenge!!! He had 50rs balance with him after toiling so hard for a day. Baldev bought laddoos for her with the last penny he had!!!
There are moments in life when we find ourselves at cross roads!!! But for Baldev there is no such thing!!! All the roads lead him to Veera!!! She is his universe!!!
There is only one quote that I can connect to Baldev's relationship with Veera, that of Jacob Black...

It's only when you are tested you know who you are and who you can be!!! Baldev Singh has proved time and again that he can be whatever she needs him to be!!!
Now I really wonder if at all, one fine day he becomes The Sarpanch, then will he give his first salary to her then too??? This is something beyond the quiet persistence of a dream!!!
