I wonder when we'll stop being Hollywood struck. IMO we need to stop panting after them. Yes, they make good movies. But there are movies from other countries which eclipse them too. (Yes. Am talking about Korean. Yes, am biased. .)

I wish actors tried their hands at regional movies. Cause some of those scripts are mindblowing. And it's much better than a flash-and-go appearance which after all the media hype ends up being very disappointing. *coughMIcough*

@Chimchimcher: HR hs looks & all those things required to pull american audience as well.. He just needs right movie & superb top notch promotion strategy to pull it.. This rob cohen Movie looks like it will do it. Yes, the HW male actor that will play second lead will give much needed boost... Regarding, Paani I totally Agree with you..

@Llehtel_me: Did u read the article properly?? He is playing main lead. Nt cameo or short role. Hrithik hs been on hwood radar right since his Bwood debut... He hs rejected many roles be it William S. Adapted screenplay wala script which he ws offered by indian origin hwood director.He rejected pink panther 2(cameo) john rambo(ws supposed to play stallone's son) Prince of persia(both the parts)-main lead role bt turned down as he hd to shoot back to back those series).. There were other small roles which he rejected.. He knws wat he wants to make his hwood debut.. Finally he found it..

I did read it. He's obviously chosen a popular franchise to debut. It's a smart choice. And it's no measly role too.

I wasn't talking about HR specifically when I made that statement. I was just saying that all this Hollywood Hype usually turns out disappointing and people should rather do powerful roles in regional movies than settle for cameos in Hwood. It was a general observation. Not pinpointed at HR.
