Indian singers stand no where compared to hollywood ones. Bon Jovi, Justine Beiber, Jay-Z are amongst the most powerful celebrities in the world. Sonu Nigam and others are not even 5% of them.

If common sense is what you referring to then a user generated list shouldn't get you too excited. Tomorrow if I create avowing poll for best actor in the world and have bollywood and hollywood actors and if I more India users vote then one of the khans will be a clear winner. However, if I put the same list in hollywood, one of the khans won't even end in top 10.

Sonu Nigam is no doubt a great signer, maybe the biggest in India but no way he is top 5 in the world. Where is Adam? Lionel Richie? Usher? Elton?

You cant be serious if you say Sonu is bigger than Elton. He has been given Knighthood which is like one of the biggest achievement one can ever imagine.

If the list was limited to India, then you could argue with your points but we are talking about the world.
