I don't think we can all relate to Bollywood characters 100 percent because real humans are more complicated and deeper than Bollywood heroines.
But from what I recall..I relate a little to Deepika's character from YJHD and Kajol's character from DDLJ.
In terms of YJHD..am always studying..no time for friends or guys just like Deepika in the film.
In terms of DDLJ..am a dreamer like Kajol.

Sri from English Vinglish..I don't relate to her because she's older..and her experiences are different from mine...but I still felt connected to her character because I have seen many people in my life that go through the same thing she went through in the film. A friend of mine who didn't speak English well..so this black girl makes fun of her in front of the whole class. There's more stories like that that I have seen people close to me go through it..even my own mother..she had a harder time learning English because language is harder for older people to learn.
