Scene 1
We see preparations underway for an upcoming stunt shooting scene in a show featuring Anu Malik. The director Johann enquires his assistants about the progress when a lady Shruti arrives and insists that she has something very important to say to him. They go aside and Shruti says that the stunt one Samson is supposed to be performing - jumping from 30 feet above after setting himself ablaze - is too disturbing and he should've tried to stop him. Johann says Samson is too stubborn to change his mind. Suddenly he sees some crew guys putting up a large banner on the stunt tower and shouts at them to stop it. Samson arrives and says he's given them the orders as they'll be getting hefty sponsor fees for using the banner. Both Johann and Shruti try to discourage him, but he behaves rudely and ignores them. Suddenly one of the workers slips down and injures his forehead on the back of the banner.
A while later, Anu Malik arrives and greets everyone and is taken to the main venue where he meets Samson. After a fair deal of mutual praise or flattery or whatever, Mr. Malik promotes EKLKBK and offers to take him into the show if he performs up to expectations. The haughty and overconfident Samson takes the challenge and decides to do the stunt blindfolded. Mr. Malik and Shruti try to discourage him, but he's adamant. Finally the stunt begins and we're graced with some shayaris by Mr. Malik and the sight of Samson wearing what looks like a Magneto costume crossed with Jaadu DNA. He climbs up the tower and goes behind the large banner. Suddenly, we hear the sound of electrocution, a thump and Samson's scream. The people there look up from beneath, but he's nowhere to be seen. Mr. Malik contacts the CID.
Scene 2
Our team is seen investigating at the crime site. Abhijeet sir watches footage of Samson climbing the tower and deduces that whatever happened took place after he went behind the banner. Purvi points out that it's not possible to hide behind the banner as it's barely an inch thick and is surrounded by open space. Freddy sir suggests Samson might've chickened out of doing the stunt and run away, but Abhijeet sir says the other people should've seen him running. The crew members confirm this was no planned trick of theirs. Mr. Malik informs Abhijeet sir about the thump on metal and scream he heard, and leaves after greeting him and Freddy sir. Kavin finds bloodstains on the tower struts behind the banner and shows it to the team below via a digital camera. John says it must be that of the injured crew member Tinu, who's been sent home to rest now. Abhijeet sir asks for his address and enquires about Samson's personal life. He's told that Samson is married to Shruti, but she's nowhere to be seen. The people say she was there just until they arrived. Abhijeet sir grows suspicious.
Scene 3
In the forensic lab, we see Vaibhav attending to Tinu. Dr. Salunkhe says that the blood they found isn't his, but Samson's. Dr. Tarika says the low quantity of blood found indicates he wasn't seriously injured. Purvi enters and informs ACP sir that Shruti is totally missing and her phone is unreachable as well. ACP sir suspects her involvement in Samson's disappearance. Tinu recalls seeing Shruti meeting some unknown man in secret, who was giving her some instructions. ACP sir construes it could be some friend and asks Tinu to help them get the guy sketched. ACP sir instructs Purvi to obtain Shruti's call log and phone location just before Samson's disappearance. Purvi reveals she's already done the job, and ACP sir praises her.
Scene 4
The team led by Abhijeet sir arrives at a desolate container yard, where the phone of Ishaan - the last person who contacted Shruti - has been traced. They try to trace the phone in the area. Suddenly, some hidden person attacks Shreya on the head with a rock. They try unsuccessfully to find the attacker. Suddenly, an unseen woman's cries for help ring out. They rush towards the sound and find Shruti running away from them. They give chase into a narrow alley between two huge piles of metal boxes. As soon as they enter it, there's a heavy cascade of cartons and trash upon them from above. Freddy sir spots Ishaan and chases him, but the latter manages to make his getaway in a car.
Meanwhile, Abhijeet sir attends to Shreya who's been greatly injured in the cascade. Feeling his warmth and concern, Shreya apologizes for accusing him during the Giraftaar debacle. Abhijeet sir waves it away and expresses regret for scolding her earlier. He kindly suggests they put the past behind and says that one should only keep fond memories in heart. (Abhijeet sir needn't have apologized, for he did nothing wrong. Still, it was in accordance with his compassionate heart. I liked the scene.) Meanwhile, Nikhil finds Samson's corpse behind one of the boxes and wonders how it came to be here. Abhijeet sir says only Ishaan and Shruti can answer that.
Scene 5
Freddy sir manages to track down the house which Ishaan drove upto, and calls Abhijeet sir. Shreya knocks the door and is greeted by a lady who is alarmed on seeing her injury and asks if her husband is ill-treating her. Shreya says yes and is invited inside, where we see several children and women. Ishaan and Shruti suddenly turn up and accuse Shreya of being Samson's friend and following them. The former draws a gun, but Abhijeet sir and the others turn up and stop him. He demands to know why they killed Samson. Both of them are shocked and deny any involvement in the murder. Shruti says Samson used to vent his frustration of failed stunts by viciously assaulting her, so after his disappearance she was afraid he'll do it again and thus fled and Ishaan brought her to the women help centre. Abhijeet sir wonders who killed Samson.
Scene 6
In the forensic lab, Dr. Salunkhe points out Samson had two injuries on his head and one on his leg, and his nasal bone was also broken. Purvi asks if he was involved in any scuffle; Dr. Salunkhe says he seems to have fallen hard on something. He also adds that Samson had been asphyxiated, but they've been unable to find out how. Dr. Tarika shows them pieces of metal they found under his fingernails. Abhijeet sir says that all this is somehow connected to the banner from behind which Samson disappeared. Shruti informs him that Samson's old financer Kingston paid for that banner, two crore rupees. She recalls Kingston meeting Samson and asking for his money, but Samson rudely turns him away following which Kingston threatens him. Abhijeet sir remarks that this could be sufficient motive for revenge.
Scene 7
ACP sir, Purvi and others meet Kingston, who says Samson was somehow mistaken that he was sponsoring Samson's stunt and thus refused to pay up, and he was only trying to get his money back. He confirms that he wasn't the one who put up the banner. ACP sir says they need to find out who got and put it up, then.
Scene 8
The team is seen pulling down the banner for examination. Purvi meets Abhijeet sir and informs that nobody in the staff knows who sponsored this banner and while they did see it arrive, nobody remembers details of the truck or driver. There are no fingerprints at all found on the banner. Freddy sir says the culprit might've been wearing gloves, but Abhijeet sir points out many others had touched the banner after its installation. Purvi adds that there's no sign of the worker who had fallen upon it either. Abhijeet sir concludes that the banner has been swapped with a fake one. Freddy sir calls Dr. Salunkhe and is told that Samson's suit was made of metal. Abhijeet sir says that Samson's head injuries, broken nose and metal fragments under fingernails have confirmed his suspicions. He tosses a coin upon the tower's platform, which gets stuck, demonstrating that it is magnetized. They remove the magnetic platform plate and find bloodstains under it, which Abhijeet sir says must be Tinu's. He says this plate had been hidden behind the banner and got stuck on the tower. Freddy sir asks for an explanation, which Abhijeet sir says all of them as well as the killer will soon receive.
Scene 9
The unseen killer meets Anu Malik in the deserted stunt area at night. Mr. Malik points at a figure on top of the tower wearing Samson's costume, and an animated sequence on screen which depicts Samson climbing up the tower and his metal suit getting stuck to the magnet behind the banner as soon as he went behind it. When the people below were distracted by a cameraman getting electrocuted (how?) the killer pressed a remote which made the banner release and fly up to the roof of the tower, trapping Samson. The killer gloats that the remote was his own walkie-talkie. Mr. Malik says they suspected him because he tried to get Shruti framed for Samson's murder.
The killer, who's revealed to be the director Johann, shoots Mr. Malik and climbs up the tower to the suited figure who turns out to be Kavin. There's a fight scene and John is captured. He confesses that he was tired of Samson's arrogance and poor cooperation, and thus wanted to kill him in a spectacular manner to publicize himself. Abhijeet sir condemns his crime and says he'll be executed for the same. Johann is taken away and Mr. Malik greets and praises the team, revealing he had been saved by the CID bulletproof he'd worn. Abhijeet sir thanks him and Freddy sir requests him to sing for them. Mr. Malik complies and we're treated to divine smiles by our AS^2 and Freddy sir as they all start enjoying. 😳
