Hm.. so basically Sita and Rukmini are incarnations of Lakshmi Devi.
So to talk of one is to talk of the other! - (Albus Dumbledore😛)

But we have more of the story of Sita Devi than Rukmini Devi.
SO let me start with Rukmini, the princess of Vidarbha.
She had five brothers, Rukmi, Rukmaratha, Rukmakeshi, Rukmamali, Rukmabahu.
Rukmi the eldest, hated Krishna and wanted Rukmini to marry Shishupala.
At that time, Rukmini sent a Brahmana with a message to Krishna to kidnap and marry her.
Krishna rescued her from the forced marriage and took her to his own palace.

Now let us see this spiritually. In the body called Vidarbha, the Atma called Rukmini was living. She had five senses, Rukmi, Rukmaratha, etc. These five senses used to always get attracted to the wrong things, called Sisupala.
But Rukmini the atma realised that she had to reach Paramatma, who is Krishna.
But her five senses were constantly diverting her.
At that time another Devotee came in the form of a Brahmana.
He understood her plight and went to the Paramatma requesting him to help her.
As soon as the devotee requested God to help, God instantly rushed to Rukmini, and rescuing her from the five senses, gave her Moksha.

Friends,

I've found a beautiful story on internet about Sita Mai.😊

Goddess Sita looks with the same merciful eye at everyone

Sita was captured by Ravana and kept in Lanka for several months. She was very sad being separated from her beloved Rama and at times used to shed tears. Hanuman came to rescue Sita devi and did all he could to help Rama. Finally, Lord Rama won over Ravana and took Sita on his divine Vahana which can fly on sky.

While leaving Lanka, Lord Rama said to his wife "Sita, all these 10 months, you were angry and in pain as you were captured by Ravana. So your angry look towards this land of Lanka might even effect its innocent people. So turn back at Lanka now and look with your merciful eye so that all the people will be blessed and lead a happy life.

Sita immediately told Rama, " I never show any differentiation in my looks towards good and evil. I even saw Ravana with the same merciful eyes as I know his behavior could ruin his life. So I had always looked at these people of Lanka with the same Merciful eye"

Rama realized the motherly affection of Sita on everyone. This shows that all our Goddess like Mahalakshmi, Sita devi always looks at their devotees with Merciful eye and their grace is always on us.

Hope you all liked it!😃

Another story! This time it is Rukmini Mai😊

Mother knows her child's needs!

Sudama and Krishna were childhood friends. They first met at the ashram of Guru Sandipani. After few years, the boys completed their studies and went apart. Krishna married Rukmini and ruled Dwaraka. Sudama, in the meantime, married a poor brahman girl. Sudama led a life of poverty as he was not attached to any wordly possessions. His wife was too good who as well did not crave for luxuries.

Soon, children were born to Sudama and his wife. As the children grew older, they began to ask their parents for better food and the comforts of life. Sudama's wife could not bear to see them hungry. One day, she said to Sudama hesistantly, " My lord, You could ask Krishna for help, for isn't he rich and powerful?" But Sudama was not comfortable in seeking help from his friend. But his wife insisted for the sake of the children. Sudama agreed to see his friend but told that he would not ask his friend for anything.

Sudama's wife borrowed some poha from a neighbour and wrapped it in a clean rag and gave it to Sudama. Later, he left for Dwaraka. Krishna was overjoyed after seeing Sudama. He made him sit down and washed his feet. Rukmini fanned him gently. Sudama was overhelmed by the love that krishna showered on him. He hesitated to give Krishna the poha thinking it was a little gift to someone like him. But Krishna read his mind and snatched it from his hand. "Poha, my favourite dish" said Krishna and ate a handful greedily. Before, he could take a second handful, Rukmini stopped him saying "One mouthful will give him all that he needs, my Lord". Being the goddess of wealth, she was responsible for its distribution.

Next morning, Sudama left Dwaraka. His heart was full, though he did not ask for anything from Krishna. As he approached his house, he saw a grand mansion. His wife and children came out of it wearing jewels and fine clothes. Then he understood Rukmini's words.

MORAL : Here Sudama forgets to take help from Krishna, but Krishna through Rukmini Mai(Goddess of Prosperity) grants everything what Sudama needed. But Rukmini Mai doesn't want wealth and prosperity effect the devotion & virtues of her child.
Friends, everything in excess is opposed to nature!😊

This is my favorite story from SBP.Thanks for posting it here and yeah Rukmini Mata's intervention is divine! The moral is really good and you know I believe that every action of Divine is meaningful.Usually in this tale we find Sudama's devotion & Krishna's grace important but Rukmini Mata's role also has great significance.😳

Plz keep posting!
