Downton Abbey: Who Would Play It Here?

We all fell in love with Downton Abbey's characters and their lives. But as the most widely watched TV series goes into its fifth season, it might be time to plan an Indian version.

Here's who we think would be apt to play the key characters from Downton Abbey. Do you have a better suggestion? Let us know!

I would def throw Aish in the mix b/c she's so damn good with periodic pieces, but not sure which character. 😆

Downtown Abbey without our high class Sonam?? .. how is that even possible.

Note: I don't watch the show but just know it's premise. So .. I am really not an expert to point on which rule would be apt for Sonam.

Kareena Kapoor n Abhay Deol are perfect choices for Mary n Mathew.

But I would like Parineeti as Sybil and Genelia as Edith.

Amitabh Bachan as Lord Crawley.

and or Brensen I would like a good actor. Varun is cute though.

Wow. This is actually not a bad list. I can totally see Ronit Roy and John Bates and Abhay as Matthew. Whoever made this did a good job. Although I'd replace Anil with Bacchan as Robert Crawley. I think Carson could be played by Boman Irani.

Ha! We said the same thing! I can't see anyone but Amitabh Bacchan as Lord Crawley. He just has that demeanor and personality to go with it. Anil will not cut it.
